2.2 on the Pirelli OEM AT in AP? Man, if that was what I got, I would have gone back to those... I think you're thinking on the highway tires... Or I may just have had a bad batch of tires...
Sounds about right... that's why I like to look at the relative comparisons not straight up efficiency numbers... too many factors... but I will tell you that efficiency for me in ATL (~1000 ft elevation) is about .2 M/KWh worse than when I'm in Savanna at sea level...
Very predictable. Acceleration is good. I would give the edge to the Pirelli OEM AT in terms of traction. I must have had a great copy of the Pirellis, cause they were also much better than the Platinum and Defenders.....If I rank order them it would be Pirelli, Nittos, Defender, Platinum
The best noise by far were the Defender M/S2 - super quiet. The Platinums and the Nitto's are different, Platinum's are definitely quieter, but higher pitch. I prefer the Nitto's lower pitch, but marginally louder than the platinums. The Pirelli's even when new were louder than the Nittos...
LOL. When you got to make 250 miles between charges, you have to go on conserve.
Like I've said before, this is a tire comparison - in the exact same conditions in conserve mode, these are more efficient than the Pirellis. Same conditions: same driver and environmental. As you can see, in...
It’s in conserve mode. Here’s my thought: everyone has a different driving behavior, environmental conditions, etc… therefore holding AP constant and getting data across various users with different conditions will only be good for a distribution of outcomes - not really a comparison of tires...
I recorded a trip earlier today 60 miles at 70mph gps, it gave me exactly 2.0 m/kw I am carrying a 200lb e-bike and have a little over 300 lbs of ammo and guns… the e-bike alone knocks about 10-15% off efficiency historically. I’ll do the math later when I get home.
You 1.92 is almost an exact 1.9 that I got over a few thousand miles. You did better than me on the Pirellis though. Agree the platinums not recommended!
I couldn’t do a controlled measurement back home cause I had to do a few errands. But did get around a 2.3 efficiency on the way back. Next week in my commute I’ll do it right.
He deserves it. I had a good bit of arguing of me not wanting the Nittos - he then said, you've already made 2 choices that didn't work out with the Michelins. They can't make any further adjustments, so go with the choice he's making for me. Pretty bold... but he was right.
