I was going to go with the HTS60, but the Discount Tire rep urged me to go with the ATs. The Nitto Grappler and the Recon Grappler AT are different tires. One is an LT and the other is a 116 load rated tire. My understanding is that the regular Grappler LT are slightly worse efficiency than the OEs.

I have not. I've traded those tires in for the Platinums. The sidewalls were too soft and made the RT1 unstable in swerving situations.

I was expecting more than 20% based on Kyle’s test of 21 vs 20, I think they said the difference between the 20 at and 21 was around 20%. I don’t know why i didn’t do this before.

That’s correct. That’s what I was expecting and now maybe I can tow for more than 130 miles. If I get half, that’s 1.3 vs the 1 that I used to get. The efficiency should be greater towing.

the 30 mile commute was fluctuating between 2.5 to 2.7. Before the tires I was at 2 and with best case scenario 2.1. But it’s 32 degrees outside now and the 2.0 it was 80-90.

I’ve kept the 20” and didn’t calibrate to the 33” diameter. It’s a 3% difference so the 2.5 goes down to 2.43

Got the MS2 installed over the weekend on 20” factory wheels. Size is 275/60. If you have the off-road tires, this will make you R1T feel like a Bentley - plush! My roundtrip to work is about 60 miles, 50 of it at highway speeds. My off-road tires used to get me 2 miles per kw on this route...
