First of all having a question as a new EV owner doesn't make you "dumb." If that were the case, the combined IQ of this forum would be that of a doorstop. 🙂
So a couple things here...
- By code, the continuous output of the device can't exceed 80% of the breaker rating. That's why you see a 32...
It's the unpredictability that led me to give up on EA ever since I received my NACS adapter. While there may be many EA stations that work well, when almost all stations I would use from CO to the east coast only have 4 plugs, there's not enough redundancy when the problems start.
Our trip...
If that works, there will be a little something extra in your Christmas stocking this year. It's a secret but it rhymes with Bapple Scarplay.
Thanks for contacting Rivian!
There's an open Rechargery in Blue Springs on I70. I don't see any "Coming Soon" markers in the Kansas City area. Where are they building the one you mention?
That's great to see more opening in the KC area.
Thanks.
Congrats on your new Rivian! Even after 2 years, I'm still finding new functions and tricks. Keep asking your questions on the forum. There are a lot of helpful folks here.
It's unknown how many of the thousands of posts Rivian actually monitors. If you haven't done so, may I suggest sending them a suggestion directly:
Open the Rivian app and scroll to the bottom. Select "Share Feedback." Answer "No" to "Is this service related?"
Enter your suggestion.

This is great information.
As I posted in my thread on 20" options, I've narrowed my decision to the Michelin Defender LTX M/S2, or the Toyo Open Country AT III EV SL (an AS vs a light AT). I have 37,000 miles on my original Perellis.
The only possible downside of the Michelins is that they...
The best part of this for me is that Ionna should show up in the on-board nav after the update. I have a work-around, typing "Ionna Goodland KS" in the search field, for example, but this requires knowing where the stations are on your route.
I have tried to like EA...I really have. But they...
Thanks for posting.
I was wondering how they would add the NACS plugs. Both NACS snd CCS plugs per pedestal, or separate pedestals for each type. It looks like the latter.
I wonder if on a Gen 1 R1, if charging speed is the same when using CCS vs NACS+adapter.
