Interesting to see people more knowledgeable than me on this chime in. I have had the same question for my winter tires every winter. Much higher pressure rating on those than my stock 21s, and I didn't really know what to run them at. I ran them a bit higher than my 21s, but nowhere near their...
There was lots of surprise on this in the early days of trucks rolling out, but yup - there are ingress points for lots of dust on those dusty roads. I use bins - keeps everything clean and dry, and they slide in and out so easily (useful with the manual tonneau when the bin is pushed all the...
As others have said, you don't need to. Personally, when I park and stay in the truck I turn off the headlights right away (rather than waiting for them to timeout) and turn off the interior lights if I don't need them on. Super quick for both. But nothing else.
Yup, you need a TT adapter. If you search that on the forum, there are a bunch of threads about them. I bought one based on a recommendation on here a couple of years ago as a backup option in case I ever got stuck, but have never actually used it. But has been living in my frunk for a long time...
Hasn't happened to me, but a handful of people on the forum have reported it. Scary when it happens, but harmless - just bad timing! Those darn computers on wheels...
As the others have said - never heard of this, not even once. Definitely check the video footage if you can - it will reveal all.
And maybe consider not using the phone while behind the wheel? While low risk if you’re stopped, you’d know exactly what happened if you were paying attention.
Yup, mine did that too on one side. Fixed under warranty, hasn’t happened again but now I’ll likely expect it might at some point… Though one side has been fine since purchase (a little over two years)
Even a 240V plug temporarily is fine, I just wouldn’t rely on 120V (it’s way too slow), and fighting public charging and the time involved is a huge pain. Charging at home is glorious :)
I was thinking the service center should be able to pull the history based on the VIN, so you wouldn’t have...
I'm in Vancouver and have been in my R1T for a little over two years, coming from F150s and an Outback over the previous 15 years. Knowing what I know now, I would also happily look at a lightly used R1S or R1T if I needed too for whatever reason. This has been my first EV experience and it has...
This is a great PSA - thank you. Fortunately I've never used preconditioning, and this is another reason for me to avoid "automation".
Good thing your trip wasn't two days longer. I was away for 23 days last month, with GG on (parked on a street with lots of people walking by and triggering...
