  1. Comma AI/OpenPilot Update -- Watch it in Action on Gen1 Rivian (Video)

I was bummed to hear bgill66 is out of the Chun harnesses. Hopefully he's able to restock soon. As for the new harness and steering wheel button control - did you just get Lukas' harness, or did you get the harness and the modification? You'll need both in order to get steering wheel button...

That's true, but OP's curve speed assist is pretty decent from my experience.

I would think that if you encounter unexpected behavior from the device, especially if it is accompanied by hardware faults in the car, this would be an issue you would think is worthy of having someone to look into. My point about submitting routes with logs is because its very difficult to fix...

Are you submitting routes with logs when these events occur so they can be investigated?

Not sure what you meant by ā€œother cars being addedā€ā€”are you referring to Lukas’ test branch? If you’re asking how cars get added to Openpilot generally, it’s mostly thanks to the open-source community. That’s exactly how Rivian support happened—not by Comma, but through the work of contributors...
  6. Gen 2 Rivian Autonomy vs FSD/Openpilot/Hyundai HDA2

Yes, it will work - you just have to make sure you order the right one. He has two versions - one for the Comma harness, and one for his harness.

"Officially supported" is a strange term to use for an open-source project. But for the sake of argument, I assume what you mean by that is support for Comma's branch of Openpilot. Comma, however, does not sell the harness modification and therefore has no reason to add support to vanilla OP...

I'm optimistic we'll be able to get around it. There were similar limitations on other Hyundai power steering columns that were able to be worked around so I hope that we can use a similar method with ours.

You don’t need two harnesses unless you want the additional inputs like steering wheel button control or blind spot monitoring (BSM). Many users are happily running Lukas’ test branch with just the standard harness and using the UI buttons on screen. The modified harness is fully optional and...

Been using Filet o Fish without many issues. Looking forward to Tonb Raider 6. Been hearing good things.

At least it's not WhatsApp! Also, 90mph still beats the Driver+ and Autopilot limit. šŸ˜… That may be some sort of ISO standard, though.

I hope you were able to connect with him because it looks like he may have sold the last one he had in stock!
  13. Comma AI/OpenPilot Update -- Watch it in Action on Gen1 Rivian (Video)

bgill66 still had the Chun mounts in stock a few days ago and he ships from Louisiana. Once he's out, though, I'm not sure how the tariffs will affect him in terms of getting restocked.
  14. Gen 2 Rivian Autonomy vs FSD/Openpilot/Hyundai HDA2

You don't have to do the upgrade right away. You can start with just the harness, get comfortable with Openpilot, and then do the upgrade when you're ready.

You can get a Chun mount. I highly recommend them. Bgill66 has them in stock I think.

No, it comes with: long OBD-C cable (9.5 ft) Should be all you need, except for maybe a right-angle adapter.
