Did ACC disengage? I've gotten that a few times - I think it's the same Rivian ACC random disengagement bug that they still haven't fixed. Were you able to re-engage right away?
It's not hard at all. Installing the upgrade itself takes 5 minutes max. The part that takes the longest is routing the secondary USB cable up through the A pillar.
Sorry! That's old advice! At the time Openpilot was forcing metered cellular connections and it was treating the Rivian wifi hotspot as a cellular connection. That issue has since been resolved.
Yeah, the brake thing is a common issue on first install - the hard reset usually clears that out. The hood open error is a new one, though - haven't seen that before.
The stopping distance hasn't been so bad for me, but the stopping behavior is a bit weird. It generally will stop with about 10m of distance between me and the lead car which I'm comfortable with. Anywhere between 8-10m is fine with me so it's on the far end of that but it's ok.

I am! There are a couple videos in the document that include sections that go over the AXM connector, but it doesn't hurt to have other people perspectives as well.
Need more info. Do you have a harness from Comma? If so, did you order the adapter from lukas specifically FOR the Comma harness? There are two versions - one for the Comma harness, and one for the harness that Lukas sells.
