They took a break over the holidays and for CES and they just started shipping again yesterday. I believe they will get through most of their backorders by the end of the month and then be on a normal delivery timeframe after that.
You *could* try using it without removing the two wires on the harness and see if you have any issues. Some people never experience issues even with the AXM power connection. The problem is, if you DO experience issues down the line you'll have to pull the harness out so that's why we...
In addition to the fusetap that godfodder mentioned, you should also remove the AXM power connection on the Comma harness. If you haven't looked at the Installation Tips document, I recommend that you read it before attempting installation...
Did you remove the AXM power connection on the Comma harness? Tapping the AXM for power has caused issues in the past. Never alarm related issues, but anything's possible I guess.
Looks like you have a Gen 1, in which case there won't ever be an update that will allow that, in my opinion.
However, the Comma system will give you the ability to have hands-free lane keep and longitudinal control while towing, so you're not completely out of options. I have used it to tow a...
I should have mentioned there are definitely people who disagree with me on this. I think where you live and the roads around you make a difference. I don't have a lot of curvy roads here in the DFW area and the ones I do it seems to slow down pretty appropriately for, especially for the...
I can't answer the second one but no it is super easy to install the harness upgrade at a later point it's literally a dongle that takes 2 seconds to plug into the harness. You do have to run a second USB cable up the a pillar to the Comma and that's what takes the longest.
I do personally...
Plus there's gonna be the tarrifs on top of that. 🤮
If you already have the harness from Comma, you don't need to get the harness kit from xnor. They're basically the same thing - the harness from xnor just has the AXM power connection removed (which we also recommend doing with the Comma...
There's no more processing power. They both use a Snapdragon 845. The biggest differentiator (other than size) is better thermal management so the Comma 4 could potentially run bigger 10w driving models on device without it overheating.
The fuse location we recommend connecting to (F34) is an "ignition" source and turns off and on with the vehicle. There are also some fuse locations that have a constant power supply, but I can't recall which ones they are - but it's possible to do that if you want to.
This is all covered in...
