Damn, its always funny how different the interpretation of areas are based on where you live. I learned today about East Coast terminology. Being a Midwesterner I have always assumed and included any state that touches the Atlantic as East Coast. Guess I was wrong :)
Just wanted to comment on how great in home / Garage repair is. So far in almost 4 years / 45k miles combined ownership of my R1T and R1S I have had 3 warranty needs. The window washer line on my used but new to me R1S at 500 miles and then both batteries were just replaced a month or so apart...
Sitting waiting between ball games for 3 kids for an hour google cast is one of my favorite features. Youtubetv on road to watch whatever I want. So much better picture and sound than looking at phone for that same hour.
I get if you don't have similar use case not being a great feature.
I have all 3 gen 1 sets and 1 aftmkt. 20 and 21 ride best by far due to sidewall, a must for gen 1 r1s in my opinion. Love the 22's look but on gen 1 r1s ride is not good. Ride is acceptable on r1t.
Maybe gen 2 is quite a change but fron reviews ot seems most still favor the extra length of r1t.
Man, there are a lot of depressing things in the world right now. The fact that all vehicles are white / black / gray just adds to it. Not very adventurous.
Lets hope Scout keeps to some of their bright colors shown.
I will wait 2 years and get one used for $65k when my gen1 exits warranty.
On the Tesla vs others charging. Im team Tesla, always work and around me at least $.15 to $.30 cheaper per kWh. Also NACS is so much easier to use vs bulky CCS1.
Agree port on trucks / suv have to be in front...
I have just basic Comma and is great for my needs. i really like the latest version of FSD on 24 M3. However still too much AI deciding how fast to drive and doing what I hate others to do on interstate. Speed up / slow down repeat. Comma is perfect, set it and forget it.
my only issue is...
Similar good range out of Gen 1 R1T Quad last night. 100% from home, drove 275 miles / 4 hours 10 min. Average speed was 68 mph on 2 lane highways. Got to hotel with 8% / 28 miles left. Free EV charging, so unless terrible headwinds the 550 miles will cost me $14.50. However, we never see...
Gathering place is amazing as stated. KS went from crap on charging to really good besides SW portion in last 18 months. Yes, plug share and abrp are A must to ensure best options.
I’m the only person in America that doesn’t like Yuengling beer and I like 95% of beers.
My service center just sold me extra wheels. Then got the tires I wanted installed at Discount Tire. This was a few years ago so maybe corporate has caused them to be more "corporate". If so just buy a spare from someone on the forum.
It is sad that everything is so right / wrong even when same info provided but perception through one's beliefs no longer allows analytical thought.
There is a fun game to play with people and lead them one direction and then pull carpet out from them just to see the crazy confused look.
You have a J1772 at home, its the AC side of the CCS1 which also includes DC for L3 charging. Yes, in the future you can buy a simple "NACS" adapter, I use one all the time for our commuter M3. Quick and easy.
Im in the camp that NACS will really help conversion since so much easier to use on...
This is needed nation wide. Yes I know Im and old man now but I go 7 over and get passed like im going 45. Extra patrol would easily pay for itself. Something is so broken in that "world revolves around me mentality". At least pay off local services with these people's $'s that want to...
Happens on both my Gen 1s when first start up and back out of garage and never been an issue. One actually get to where I actually might need them they work fine.
My Tesla has the same 15 seconds are so for such systems to load.
