I did mine on my own at 5K. I had a spare so am using it for a 5 wheel rotation. My T is running the 22s and looking at the fronts during the process, I'm glad I did it at 5k. We'll see how long these things last and I'm not guessing too long. They are fun though!
Best thread ever!
My FS is called Pond Scum AF, because that's what it is (aluminum Ripley). Of course the fork and shock have been swapped out for a Pike and Super Deluxe and the tires replaced and everything else probably swapped too. Except the seatpost. That PNW loam has been trusty and...
Just an update on this. I've been using the bomber for my mtb and Gravel bikes for the last 4 months. Experience has been essentially flawless and since it doesn't take much room, I just leave it on the truck (quite minimalist). It requires two mini straps that click in and one strap from top...
My R1T might not have a functional tonneau, but it still carries my bike just fine. And, you'd better believe I'm all in on an ebike with hydraulic cross-linking of it's adaptive dampers in the fork and shock. Perhaps it will have regen downhill too so I can avoid brake fade and spend more time...
I was just thinking it's awesome he got one before the employee versions that started shipping September 2021!
For what it's worth, my cover worked great for 3 months, until it didn't. Had mobile service fix it in the open position this morning. My tech did not offer an estimate for a...
Dammit Yossarian, no one asked you why you didn't fail not to buy Twitter, they asked you why you failed not to light your money on fire! Now get in that near indestructible cybertank and fly it straight into the lake so you can prove it floats.
While true for some other evs, this is not true for the Rivian. My truck has made no adjustments to the range estimate in the 3500mi I've put on it. Rivian will give you a better estimate in the navigation view to a specific destination, but the range in the energy screen or bottom right of...
I'll try navigating directly to the charger next time. The reality is I'd like to be able to make that call on the fly depending on observed consumption. But to do that, the system would have to allow you to click the charger, which doesn't seem possible at the moment. To navigate to the charger...
All our skis, boot bags, poles, etc were in the bed. Not really under the tonneau since it's mostly open. I tied it all down and used a ratchet to hold the boot bags against the cab. I didn't have any security issues and no rain so no problem being uncovered. All our clothes and other "indoor"...
TLDR; I took the truck up from Baltimore to VT (Mt Snow) for skiing. Packed with 2 adults, 3 kids, and all our skiing gear. I continue to be impressed by how easy it is to fit anything and everything in here and how easy the truck is to drive. Charging was effective though not perfect. Truck...
It's been said (by Rivian or RJ maybe?) that the large pack would have max performance. This isn't new and isn't a valid complaint. The fact that it's 3.5 seconds vs 3.1 doesn't feel like Rivian is shorting anyone.
I got one of these tonight too, and also for the first time! In my case, it was, I think, because my charger (juicebox) does not allow charging until 9pm, since that's when it's cheaper for my utility. In any case, after the clock struck 9pm, the charger turned itself on and the red light went...
This rivian world is quite small. I'm 99% certain I was at the same ev event, in Rockville maybe? Spoke with that older gentleman too and was sold on LG there!
In any case, you can't go wrong with the colors. Good luck!
Wait a minute. Who's mowing the grass while you go mountain biking? I do my fair share of mountain biking and I'd like to develop a similar "spotify" problem!?! Please advise.
Well one is a simple bolt on made of steel. The other is a replacement of the single most expensive component in the truck. These things are not remotely comparable.
Sliders and steps are already in the works by 2 different companies. I would think custom underbody protection isn't too far behind.
I ended up with launch green but after I saw the Limestone in person it was my second favorite. Would have pulled the trigger on one from the shop but my number was called with my exact config first. I thought the Limestone was in the nardo gray family. Not exactly that or the tacoma cement...
