  4. Improved phantom / standby battery drain after new update

I noticed the battery SOC seems to fluctuate. See the pic below from Home Assistant. While sitting in my driveway unplugged the SOC goes from 78.6% at 9:45pm to 78.3% at around 10pm, a reduction which is normal but, it stays there until 5am this morning and jumps to 78.7%. Then it starts to drop...
  5. Improved phantom / standby battery drain after new update

My phantom drain was between 1.5-2kWh per day. It is now 0.8kWh. This is better than what I experienced this time last year when I monitored this a bit more. Also, after a charge my SOC stays consistent for three days. See the gap in April where no data exists. This is a noticeable improvement...
  6. Improved phantom / standby battery drain after new update

I did notice a drain reduction as well but I thought it was tied to my 12v battery replacement. I will take a closer look and post my findings.
  7. What Took You the Longest to Get Used To?

Rivian implemented "Smart Turn Signal" functionality, which automatically cancels the fully engaged turn signal after completing a lane change, in the 2025.10 software update, released in late March 2025. The turn signal automatically turns off after you perform a manual lane change on a highway...
  8. What Took You the Longest to Get Used To?

I do the same. It just simplifies the whole thing. Rivian should enable the ā€˜auto signal off’ on all roads. I believe Tesla does this.
  9. What Took You the Longest to Get Used To?

The turn signals if switched totally on will only automatically turn off if you’re on the highway. On the main road, you lightly tap it like most other cars and you get three or four signals and then it shuts off.
  10. Don’t buy a Rivian and why? SORRY!!!!

I worry about service but I do believe Rivian is fully aware of this hence the steady build out of Service Centers over the last two years. I’m really hoping the R2 being reduced in built complexity will not require as much service.
  11. Chicago Block Party Photos - Half Moon Grey R2

That is mostly intentional. I believe Rivian didn’t want to stray too far away from the successful R1S. The scale is exposed when you look at both vehicles from the rear window (side and rear). Also height which is not as easy to tell via online pics.
  12. Don’t buy a Rivian and why? SORRY!!!!

Sorry, I would say you didn’t think before you posted.
  13. Don’t buy a Rivian and why? SORRY!!!!

You could care less about what other people think however, we should care about what you think? This is a forum. It’s all about what people think.
  14. Dashboard phone mount with MagSafe charger

I have the Qi2 Wireless Charging Phone Mount with Semiconductor Cooling. It works great. It keeps the phone cool and charges fast.
  15. NEW: Knocked out of the Android app

PIN to drive is more convenient and less prone to user lockout but MFD is more secure.
  16. NEW: Knocked out of the Android app

It was an outage at Rivian. It’s my understanding if you tried to access your vehicle during the outage nothing worked because all driver and access keys were removed. I saw this happening intermittently when I accessed my mobile app (see screenshot below). I was home and tried to access mine...
  17. NEW: Knocked out of the Android app

I received these emails from RivianRoamer earlier: ——- first email Rivian is currently experiencing cloud-side authentication and data connectivity issues. Authentication impact started at 12:35 PM PT, with broader data connectivity issues following at 12:45 PM PT. Expect vehicle data on Rivian...
