I've had my R1T for only three days, but I think I recall seeing talk of a few examples of a problem with the brake pedal not fully "lifting" (if that's the right word), which apparently prevented the vehicle from sleeping. You might search for that issue in the forum and/or tinker with the pedal.
FWIW, as everyone gets a different story from different employees at Rivian, I've spoken with multiple Rivian employees about this and was told:
1) Because they handle the spare tire/kit as a service request, you can't order it until the service department can "see" your vehicle in the system...
As a 25-year Portland resident, I don't really see it as a neighborhood issue per se. We have a fairly small group of fairly angry and/or substance-influenced people for whom vandalizing $80,00 - $100,000 vehicles would seem fun and/or reasonable. It was just silly of Rivian to leave vehicles...
Sorry--this is harsher than I intended it; I apologize.
What I meant is: Rivian's communication is often terrible, and their mass messages can be particularly bad. My suggestion is that you not read too much into it.
Respectfully, they're confused that I don't already have a delivery date. And, as noted in another thread, people who already have received their vehicle also received the message.
I'm not a Rivian basher, but Rivian confusion runs deep.
It's automated. I received it even though:
1) I picked a vehicle from the Shop three weeks ago and,
2) Delivery of that vehicle has already been scheduled.
Just more Rivian being confused.
Question: Do you ever run into a "that's too much extension cord" (length) problem? For example, if you have an extension cord on one leg of the input side of your Quick 220 and your 75-footer on the outlet end, do things still work?
Thanks for any clarification/speculation.
Speculation:
My impression is that one's seeing locally available vehicles plus others (either in production or still in Normal) that haven't yet been assigned to another Service Center.
When Rivian does its end-of-quarter pullback from the Shop, all one sees is what's locally available. When...

Theoretically, the cost of the new car ($95,200). Under the quote from my current insurer, the theoretical maximum is 110% of $75,000, so $82,500.
It's insurance, however, so I don't trust 'em, of course.

Also, FWIW, I think the new car replacement piece IS important. The vehicle I picked from the shop at my pre-order price was $75,000; the same configuration for a post-increase purchase...
