I locked my config last week and was told by the guide delivery would be 1-4mo. He mentioned they would update delivery estimates by end of November but could be contacted sooner if something became available.

I just got this email below, does this mean it’s confirmed there won’t be anything before end of November? Or is this an automated email everyone with a config locked received?

It's automated. I received it even though:

1) I picked a vehicle from the Shop three weeks ago and,
2) Delivery of that vehicle has already been scheduled.

Just more Rivian being confused.

They're not confused. They obviously sent it to anyone with an open reservation, and confirmed build. You having picked one from the shop within the past 3 weeks is a very small percentage of the total confirmed build reservation customers. I would guess there are less than 100 people in your situation, total, compared to the tens of thousands in the larger group. To sort you out would not be worth the effort.

The email is confirming they are delaying delivery window updates until the end of November. They announced it, and that got shared on the forums, but not every reservation holder is as in touch with their reservation as a forum member, so the email is the general announcement.
Got it. But still doesn’t change the fact there will be people who will get contacted prior to that right?

I received the same email and it looks like an automated email to me. Not only have I confirmed my configuration, I've started the purchase process and have a VIN assigned. From my conversation with my guide I expect to receive my R1T sometime in November. My current estimated delivery is "Delivery Scheduling Opens Soon". I hope that sheds some light on this email.

Respectfully, they're confused that I don't already have a delivery date. And, as noted in another thread, people who already have received their vehicle also received the message.

I'm not a Rivian basher, but Rivian confusion runs deep.

While it looks like confusion, I would say it's more a lack of integration between systems/databases than confusion.

It's more like expect the unexpected OR unexpect the expected. After I got my confirmed delivery window of October-December, my R1S arrived a few weeks later in April.

They are confused. At least that's what my guide told me when I called him about it today. The information being sent out conflicts with what my guide was telling me, which is at the vehicle us sitting at the SC waiting for pickup.

That quote succinctly describes my RIvian experience to date. I got a similar email. My account has said "Processing estimate" since August. 4 years and 8 months after reserving, I'm still waiting for my R1S quad-motor. Guide says she's "actively" trying to match me to a VIN so I can take delivery in November.
