Have you tried a RAN or a Tesla Supercharger location? If not, please do, as those will bypass many of the user error issues.
Plugshare shows a SuperCharger open to non-Teslas at
5060 Perkiomen Ave,
Reading, PA 19606, USA
You'll need to borrow an adapter for the Supercharger, of course.
Check PlugShare for specifics. I just spent three weeks in the area (driving from Portland). On the Idaho side, I used DC chargers in Idaho Falls (Electrify America), Driggs (Enel X), and Ashton (also Enel X); there are others in Rexburg and St. Anthony, but I didn't use those. I also camped...
Relatively small sample size for me, but I've never had a significant problem at any of the EA sites I've visited in Montana, Washington, Idaho, or California (never used one in Oregon)
I've had this twice in about 9,500 miles; first time was freaky, but I no longer worry about it. My assumption (which is based on nothing) is that there was a momentary glitch with a sensor.
For what it's worth (NOT A TAX PROFESSIONAL):
I prepared my amended return using TurboTax but submitted it on paper in November 2023, when the IRS wasn't accepting e-filing; the return was adjusted by the IRS on June 7, 2024, and I just received the check this week, so I must have done it not...
By the way, the link to the Portland club on the RCA website seems to have a misspelling (portlan.rivianclubs.org) that prevents connecting to the Portland page. Inserting the missing "d" allows one to connect, at least on Chrome (and/or at least for me).
I received my A2Z NACS-to-CCS1 adapter this week and successfully used it yesterday. I charged for about 20 minutes (receiving about 30 kwh); I had no way to measure the surface temperature of the adapter, but the adapter was NOT warm to touch (air temperature was in the low 60s).
As noted...
And, if someone wants a 6-50 plug for it, I have one that I'm willing to give away. (I bought the 6-50 version because it was cheaper than the others, but as I hardwired mine, I don't need the plug).
Looking To Borrow NACS-to-CCS1 Adapter for April 6 - April 16
All,
I have a NACS-to-CCS1 adapter on order with A2Z, but it's unlikely to arrive before I leave town April 7 for a fly fishing trip near Missoula. I'm therefore looking to borrow one for the trip.
The route to Missoula is pretty...
FWIW, I'm at 2.32 for my first 2,400 miles on the 20" Pirelli OEM ATs. About 700 miles in Conserve, perhaps 50 in Snow Mode, and the bulk (1,600+) in All Purpose.
That's with the underbody shield, and cargo bars on the roof (plus ski racks for a few hundred of those miles). Tonneau cover has...
