I heard a radio interview with Mario Andretti. He said, “Do you know what they call slow drivers in the left lane of the Autobahn? American drivers!”
Great video! Well done!
Another nice trek is the Last Dollar Road from Highway 62 to Telluride. Beginner to intermediate off-road trail (depending on weather) with fantastic scenery.

I use it on occasion when I'm concerned about something close to the vehicle. I have the same feature on my Kia EV6 GT-L that I've had for two-and-half years so it is second nature. I ignore it when I don't need it.
The GPS routing can be hit and miss. I use RAN whenever possible and EA if necessary. I pre-plan any trip with a ABRP and PlugShare to see what's working. There is a Tesla charger in Williams - adapter needed (and a Ruben to die for across the street) and an EA in Willows.
Better luck next trip!
I scheduled my 7,500 mile service and they told me $160 including tire rotation. Then I got this notification to "approve and sign" an estimate with ABSOLUTELY NO DETAIL for $374.10. I called and they something about wiper blades and a cabin filter. Ford and Audi pulled this kind of crap - I...
Yellowstone had 4,501,382 recreation visits, a 37% increase from 2022, and was the fifth most visited national park in the country.
And that is NOT a RAN adventure location ?!!!
Elon and/or RJ need to fill that massive DC charging hole.
He was parked in front of the Mexican Chicken place. Go about 150 feet North and you could find a police officer to cite him. I am a frequent visitor to Bishop and the local law enforcement would be happy to accomodate.
It could be worse. If it was in front of Schat's, you would NEVER get...
Rivian could buy the mostly unused V2 Tesla site in West Yellowstone. It is not suited for Tesla demographics and the wires are already in the ground. (Save one in case a Tesla shows up.)
Small town at 3,000 feet elevation. They probably had limited kW supply from PG&E. That make-shift power company might be using old telegraph wires for transmission.
It does look like residual adhesive. Ask if you could try this stuff...
Soak it for five minutes. I've used it on stubborn adhesive and road bugs with "crazy glue" DNA. The least invasive solution before you get into "Bar Keepers Friend" or low dose isopropyl.
That is one feature I have noticed on road trips that is almost scary for accuracy. No matter what I think, high or low, the Rivian estimate is within a few miles. The algorithms must be factoring elevation and previous history.
I was at the coast near Rosarito around thirty years ago with a BMW 3.0 CS. Sitting on the sand watching the waves and “Eric Estrada” (who had studied English at Oxford) informed me I was in violation “open container”. Miles from anywhere. $20.
Since they are now in competition with the...
I have taken multiple road trips in over a half dozen states with my Kia EV6 GT-L that has an 800 volt charging structure - mainly with EA DC chargers. I’ve learned that there is little difference in my time with the 150 or 350kW chargers.
The 150’s stay in the one hundreds long enough. The...
My problem with the Kia EV9 was that it didn’t provide off-road capability. Other than that, it checked more boxes than my R1S. For those who say “just a Kia”, it’s in the top three for J.D. Power satisfaction.
I bought #509 of the First Edition EV6 GT-L over two years ago. So far, after...
