True. But I checked out the EV9 again while I was waiting for a firmware update on my EV6 GT-L. I considered the build quality and the ground clearance and decided I was happy with my R1S "truck" as opposed to the EV9 "car". After 8k miles on the R1S, no regrets.
And the Rivian is getting...
I love my R1S but my Kia EV6 GT-L has CarPlay, USB media, and AM Radio. (The sunroof that opens is also pretty cool.) They figured it out at less cost.
I have found the shades that mount on the outside to be the most effective in the California central valley heat. It prevents the glass from heating. They are good for two summers before they start to deteriorate.
No test with snow. The straps are fine. The "magnet" feature is useless.
Yellow vehicles seem to have the highest resale value...

Tioga Pass has been closed of late so the Rivian has not made the trip. My Kia EV6 GT-L has used the EA station at Buck Meadows on HWY 120.
(There are some Tesla transformer boxes there but no chargers installed. They have been there for several years. Perhaps insufficient supply for two...
Yes. There is a market - like it or don't. The "excuse" from the manufacturer is that it is too complicated and costly to supply in an EV vehicle because of the electronic interference. If Kia, Hyundai, and Ford can figure it out, why can't a $90K vehicle? If you don't want it, don't turn it on.
The Amazon Rivian pulled up and I noticed the Amazon arrow was a similar blue to the Rivian Blue. (The driver loved the delivery van and wished he could buy one.)
Excellent point. I once lost an air monitoring station due to an office next door with faulty wiring. The Fire Chief wrote up an a forensic report which saved a great deal of insurance time.
My deepest sympathies for your loss - especially your pet. Everything else can be replaced.
And a reminder to everyone. Backup your computer files to an external drive every few months and store it offsite. I've seen "cloud" files get lost.
I am aware of these designations...
I noticed on the Rivian maps there is little yellow icon on certain cities that disappear when you zoom in.
Does anyone know if these are potential RAN sites?
Considering the "really big" frunk, I'm waiting for an upgade (or well done hack) for a regular sized 12 volt battery. This first cousin to motorcycle battery is a joke.
Great choice! I have the first version on my Kia EV6 GT-L.
20K miles now after I dumped the original OEM suckie tires. Minimal wear. Great performance. Very quite and smooth. No noticeable range change. Number one rated with Tire Rack.
The LTX is essentially a "truck" tire so it...
I just got back from Yellowstone NP. As per your map, the park is a wildlife preserve on top of a volcano and a DC charging desert!
Except for some very unused V2 stations in West Yellowstone.
If Elon can send a roadster to Pluto, I would think he could configure an adapter for V2.
