I haven't received this email yet either and it certainly seems as if it is one that should go to all pre-order holders.
I also never received the email from two(?) weeks ago that only some folks received.
right, and he says he wants to move to GA to oversee construction and build up of the new factory. Moving to set up factories is not something a CEO does.
I guarantee you if the stock price collapse actually led to a buyout that any buyer (whether Bezos or a hedge fund) would ever keep RJ as CEO.
I’ve been calling for a new CEO for awhile. There are simply too many failures and problems at this point. RJ should be a chief product officer and chairman but he has not demonstrated he should run what is supposed to be a large scale auto company.
If they can deliver an R1S to an employee, they can take fuller pictures of the interior for the rest of the customer base before letting the employee drive home.
Maybe they don't need to market with a 90k backlog but the customer communication and experience is absolute garbage.
A further thought: If there are R1S deliveries taking place as RJ claimed yesterday, why hasn't Rivian shared any sort of detailed walkthrough of the R1S interior beyond two Instagram stories.
They did a bigger rollout for R1T. By comparison, Land Rover announced the updated RRS on Tuesday and...
A few things that caught my attention:
1. They delivered half the vehicles they produced in Q1. That is a serious bottleneck and it is one that is much more within Rivian's control than others. I know there are some shipping restraints but they could have moved the last 1,000 vehicles with...
The new RRS is sharp but at $105k it really underscores what a great deal the Rivian pre-March 1 pricing is. Land Rover also said the fully electric RRS is coming in 2024. That may save with no engine but will need more batteries so I doubt it will be any less than $95k.
I want Rivian to work...
I recall seeing others state this about Rivian.
Would someone tell me a single instance where Rivian has "over delivered"? So far Rivian under promises and still under delivers.
I am still pretty surprised by this pricing and it does make me worried about whether I should follow through on my...
I fear Rivian is going to delay the R1S after the earnings call so they can avoid taking questions on it when it is fresh.
Land Rover is unveiling the 2023 Range Rover Sport on May 10, which may (hopefully) will come with a Plug-in Hybrid option that gets 40-50 miles all electric.
The Chicago Tribune had an article on the visit today that included the following two lines:
"Hoping to assuage concerns, Scaringe opened the doors to his 3.3 million-square-foot factory last week, demonstrating both the progress Rivian has made, and the urgency to increase production. ...
The video commentary makes it sound like they'd do 25,000 consumer vehicles plus 10,000 vans. That's pretty messy reporting for someone who had direct access to RJ.
Has anyone used the portable charger on 240V? What charge rate are you getting?
Rivian's website says that should get up to 16 miles per hour of charge.
As I recall the wall charger, was advertised as up to 25 miles per hour, if the wall charger is only getting 19-20 miles per hour of charge...
Where’s the R1S manual?!? Or videos of the interior?
Guide contacts are promising but it blows my mind they can’t offer more info to 40-45% of the consumer customer base at this point.
I'm willing to be that guy on this one.
How sad is it that 6 months into production Rivian's official social media account has to make a joke about the existence of a color it had offered as a choice since Nov. 2020?
Great, we have a real picture. I don't think the post is cute though... for...
This "First Gear" post about Lucid and Rivian is the sort of thing that continues to make me worry about Rivian.
As great as the vehicles are I worry about profitability long term.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again as a customer and stockholder, RJ should not be CEO. He shouldn’t be moving to GA to set to a plant. It is not the best use of his skills and the fact it’s his plan shows me he does not know how to run or build out a company of this size and complexity...
