Right now it's the only version of the Performance trim that Rivian is offering. Go to Rivian's page for R2 (rivian.com/r2), click on "Design Yours", and you will see a section that describes the Launch Edition.
One thing that I'm not 100% sure on is if regen braking is part of EPA testing or not, and if it's important enough to the EPA rating, they don't want it disabled entirely. But that may just be my brain making up something...
One thing to keep in mind is that Tesla used to have a 'no regen'...
Honestly, being able to control the full acceleration/deceleration process with one foot is so amazing that I find it tough to drive an ICEV anymore. Plus, the energy regen'd, even if it's just gonna get used the next time you accelerate is that much less you're having to get from outright...
I was just saying that the button's function most likely always included the rear tailgate glass and the traditional windows too, and that it wasn't just for the tailgate and the now-removed rear quarter glass, which I think some people were thinking it did.
I'm guessing it still opened all the windows including the now-removed rear-quarter windows. If you only wanted those opened, then I'm guessing there was a button on the center screen.
Been pretty dang good for me - plus, there was a recent update (I believe 2026.7?) that mentioned an improvement for these.
That being said, if you are outside of Bluetooth range the command still has to go thru the internet then to your vehicle, and there are plenty of factors that can impact...
If you are navigating to a destination it will usually combine all the driving done to get to that destination. I'm also guessing that the length of any stop is a factor too.
That being said, on that screen there should be a drop-down so you can switch between current drive, last 15 minutes...
If you go to the product page, you'll see the new colors, but they are marked as "out of stock" so you can't hover over them to see the names or select them.
Isn't the 'smart charging' windows coming from a service that Rivian is working with that does the actual communication with the utilities? If that service isn't either getting updates, or updating Rivian, there's nothing that Rivian can do.
This might be similar as here in Washington State, as until recently Rivian couldn't sell in-state either (there's a law on the books that goes into effect in October that will change this).... but you can still take delivery in the state. In my case, I was technically importing from Illinois to...
I did a double-take on this, as I thought it was the same person that re-posted for some crazy reason.
Nope, there was just a whole other thread on the same subject started on Monday from a completely different person.
I think I'm loosing my mind...
Alas, 'em dash' = "AI"/LLM-written text isn't always true. For better or worse, I end up using them quite a bit... maybe not for super-short thoughts that these LLMs do, but I tend to separate clauses and what could be two different sentences with them. That being said, it's something that I'm...
I'm be game for one of the wheels, don't need the tire.
I'm in Spokane, so I have no problem meeting halfway.
Let me know what you want for one, or if you still have them available...
