  1. Priority R2 delivery for R1 owners announced!

Haven't seen this yet, but guessing it's another compact spare. Which is probably fine for R2 - but not really a good story for the R1S that is supposed to be more serious off-roader. In fact, that's one of the reasons I kept my GX470. I might eventually get a hitch mount spare holder but...I...
  2. Tesla engineer urges Rivian to move charge port location on R2, R3, R3X for Supercharger access

Not just a Tesla employee, the freaking lead CyberTruck engineer - because he is SO focused on usability. <eyeroll>
  3. R3 Reveal Shocks!!! ?

    Reserved!
  4. R3 Reveal Shocks!!! ?

    Nice! Launching R2 from Normal!
  5. R3 Reveal Shocks!!! ?

    OMG...now R3X!
  6. R1S Rear, Driver-Side Door Very Difficult to Close

@HarCo S is clearly more "hands on" than most on this forum, including myself. I've had this issue since delivery and at my first visit a technician _opened_ the door and looked at how it moved - he said "door drop". It's hard to see the misalignment on close - much easier on open. That said...
  7. Refreshed Gear Shop and...hmm

I've purchased a few things from the gear shop, got the email about a refresh, looked at hoodies...noticed the "Adventure Hoodie" at more than twice the price of the I guess Adventure-less hoodie...wondered what make it adventurous...and the description says " This garment can be worn alone or...
  8. What's your R2 predictions?

Could you expand on her "use case" for Gary? :)
  9. R1S demand slowing down?

Toyota will get there - eventually. I would be first in line for an EV GX550 - they could bury me in it.
  10. WA announces $85M to help build thousands of EV chargers

Is that "a thing"? There's nothing on the RAN map for Washington anywhere near there (they don't even bother to show highways in that part of the state. I see a RAN station in Lynwood as "coming soon" Edit: Google search and yeah, at least one RAN station was installed since last summer. Odd...
  11. WA announces $85M to help build thousands of EV chargers

I would love to see more fast charging on I90 and up and down the Columbia River from Mazama to Wenatchee - but that wasn't the focus of this initiative. If we get a lot more EVs on the road in the major metro areas then that will create more users for those locations and likely drive new...
  12. WA announces $85M to help build thousands of EV chargers

Good news this morning for EV charging in WA: https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/climate-lab/wa-announces-85m-to-help-build-thousands-of-ev-chargers/ Particularly handy is the map of all the coming locations: https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/b0800b33f98b4335b09615c2a338eacf/...
  13. Screens blank - WTF?

I had this happen in our 2022 R1S (delivered March 2023) - and it got progressively worse. The Bellevue SC had quite a time diagnosing the problem and ended up switching out the "master module" and some other bits. They took 3 weeks but it's been rock solid since. One major inconvenience is that...
  14. Wanted: Gate Mode

    Wait, that's "a thing"?
  15. Wanted: Gate Mode

For me that would be "mailbox" mode. But I agree we have enough modes...just give me a way to get out to do something quick without having to Park.
  16. Car and Driver Long Term Review: We Put Our 2023 Rivian R1T to Work for Its First 10,000 Miles

Note that they referenced 2023.38.0 update - that's the 38th week of 2023 and it dropped in October. So perhaps not "current".
  17. Seat heat removed from app?

I have an R1S, but heck yes - I remotely warm the seats and steering wheel. We've had the vehicle almost 10 months and that has never not worked (though we didn't do it much in the summer!).
  18. Cybertruck popularity vs R1

For maybe the next six months - after that I suspect folks will just laugh and shake their heads.
