And please no more warning dialogs that pop on top of something that I may need to see, quickly disappear, are not recallable, and do not have a corresponding "off" dialog. I am usually in the process of backing out of my driveway, it's dark, using cameras, checking the shared driveway for other...
I don't know whether the post was authentic, but the gyst of it aligns with this piece:
"If this sounds like the kind of arrangement that would incentivize a company to engage in potentially dangerous cost-cutting, you’re right. Musk has a mania for “deleting” anything he sees as nonessential...
That 15 minute infographic has frustrated me - I cannot figure out what it is really telling me. I also prefer to keep that area in the auxiliary map display.
As for current "efficiency", I probably pay more attention to the super tiny graphic to the right of the shift indicator - that turns...
No - membership signup is required but I'm not paying anything.
Both do have great satisfaction but R1T is 22/100 in "predicted reliability" (R1S is 23/100).
And these are the R1T Lows - "Intrusive regenerative braking, Unintuitive controls, Awkward exterior door handles". R1S has the same...
One other random thought - the R1S does not have a full size spare (I did finally get the compact spare), or more importantly a place to put it. So...if you really want to do any significant off-roading you're going to have to take that into account. You can probably come up with a hitch mount...
I would actually say more than 2 occupants - my wife and I both found the rear seats in the R1T to be less than ideal (very upright and not adjustable) and the smaller rear door opening awkward.
For us, though, the primary factor was the ability to carry full sized dogs in conditioned space...
I suspect the push update will be pretty soon for everyone. They just sent out the mass mailing about the update so everyone is going to be looking for it (not just us forum denizens).
Well...I've had some issues with my electronics going wonky...they had the vehicle for a few weeks (had a Rivian R1S loaner)...they replaced a computer...and I lost everything. All settings. Garage openings, locations, history, music settings, Amazon account, Driver+ settings, seat...
Correct - and you also can’t carry a dog in an Enterprise rental. You might be able to take a pet to the vet in an Emergency but if you’re thinking daily runs to the dog park you will need another solution.
Agreed - the cheaper Teslas (in particular) did not address "Reliability-Availability-Servicability" non-functional requirements. This is not surprising given Musk's lack of understanding of actual engineering principles and practices. They are essentially disposable cars.
As someone who has had a loaner twice for multiple weeks, you also can't carry a pet (dog) in the loaner. Plus it doesn't connect to Alexa, it doesn't connect to the app (no pre-warming for example), and it doesn't work with PaaK. And - for my wife in particular - it doesn't have the running...
Underbody shield has reportedly little impact on range. And the 20 ATs are a combination of the 20" forged wheels which have lower aero efficiency and the tires (more rolling resistance). There have been some annecdotal reports of getting some of that range loss back when switching to AS tires...
Thanks for posting @HaveBlue - I got excited about the "225 miles of range" until I noticed that you are Dual Motor (and guessing Max Pack - you mentioned your configuration has "380 miles of range" in your post on travelmanorowners forum which I have been looking at since your post). I'm not...
