Both you guys!!! SRSLY!?! Talk about timing! Perhaps your guides saw your fresh posts about not having a PBA yet, haha.
No PBA for me yet but there's always tomorrow. Both of you PO'd earlier than me so I can accept that. Please check in as your process progresses so I can live...
All major PPF manufacturers design for exactly what you describe. The technical term for a machine that simulates rocks flying at your car is called a "gravelometer."
Source: in a past life we worked for a major PPF manufacturer.
It does mess with your mind to watch others go from guide contact --> PBA --> delivery in a matter of a week. I've been waiting for a PBA for 45 days now; I've been googling how to read tea leaves for answers to pass the time. Hard to come down after the initial guide contact high.
I think...
Oof... thanks for the quick update. I'm in your area and had heard 4-6 wks from our guide 6 wks ago. Sounds like our Mar-Apr window is looking like Apr-May-June now. Though I think we got a guide assigned accidentally early as we PO'ed after you. I'd assume (and hope) you'll get your LG R1T...
That is a bummer about the responsiveness. Doesn't seem like you are overwhelming them, either by checking in periodically. I hope your experience improves. I wonder/worry about guide burn-out with them being stuck between customers and corporate with little in the way of info beyond the...
Interesting and exciting! I hope your Guide contact/order confirmation step moves to the 8 Step program way faster than mine; I've been betwixt the two for 36 days.
That's interesting, sounds similar. If a PBA is triggered by a VIN being matched to your PO, I wonder what triggers the guide contact? My guess is it's at least partially related to a service center opening in your area.
I scheduled a tint appointment 6 wks + 2 days out from when my guide...
Thanks for checking in. Yes, I'm still waiting for a PBA. Going on 34 days now.
I heard from my guide there are a handful of people that are in a similar situation and they are trying to resolve. I don't know what that means though.
I did hear of a delivery with my same spec near me...
I got the impression from various social media posts and guide convo. that many people were being offered an opportunity to take a truck ASAP as long as they were ok with it not being exactly 100% what they ordered. I think this was an end of quarter push to move unclaimed trucks and get butts...
The Skycamp mini 3.0, but we're going to rotate it 180° from how it's typically mounted. iKamper doesn't recommend this because their design has a little lip on the front to stop the lid being lifted by air. Since we are bed mounting ours with the Rivian xbars I'm not worried about air getting...
My thanks, South, in advance for any learnings. Hey, June is just around the corner! We feel like Sept. is a year away. Hoping to have our R1T, camp kitchen and iKamper by Sept.
We're planning to break the trail into thirds, camping two nights. TBH we don't have specific sites targeted b/c...
That's great to hear you're going to do this. We'd be very interested in hearing how it goes for you.
We booked a short stay at Under Canvas; $$ but will be great to finally have a place to shower after several days of MTB, celebrate our anniversary and charge. With luck we'll get the...
Yes, we'd take the R1T. We've seen parts of the drive in person from the rim and via others' videos, but like you I'm curious about low speed efficiency of the EV drivetrain. I've seen Jeeps get something like 11 mpg, but an ICE seems like it would be inefficient at very low speeds due to...
Too funny, we are planning to head there in Sept. I put the route map in Gaia to get a better idea of the elevation change. Also, Gaia says total distance is more like 150 mi.
Now I'm curious after watching @OutofSpecKyle 's road trip video about regen in Conserve mode. If the rear motors are physically decoupled in that mode then are they not able to regen?
Or do they recouple during a regen moment?
Or do the front motors alone provide more regen than the battery...
