Don't worry, you're not alone. We're past 3 wks now.
Are you still waiting on your PBA, @Northish? I’m now a month out from my initial Guide call. Last update I heard was three weeks ago when she promised the PBA “in the next week or so” ?

Thanks for checking in. Yes, I'm still waiting for a PBA. Going on 34 days now.

I heard from my guide there are a handful of people that are in a similar situation and they are trying to resolve. I don't know what that means though.

I did hear of a delivery with my same spec near me yesterday and thankfully they ordered a bit before me.

Out of curiosity how far are you from the nearest service center? I'm 52 mi.

If some of these issues are common they may be waiting to push a fix and then start contacts. Same way they are sitting at SCs is how cars sit at port with a stop sale.

That's similar to what I'm thinking too.

Less than 10 miles, I drive by it on my commute ?

My Guide has obliquely referenced “an issue” several times with no details. Curious what’s going on. It sounds like it may be an issue in the system rather than waiting for a truck?

That's interesting, sounds similar. If a PBA is triggered by a VIN being matched to your PO, I wonder what triggers the guide contact? My guess is it's at least partially related to a service center opening in your area.

I scheduled a tint appointment 6 wks + 2 days out from when my guide said we'd have ours in 4 to 6 wks or less. Now I'm wondering if I need to push it out or lose my deposit.

I suppose half the fun in an adventure is the journey... And the last bit is the hardest. Hope you hear positive news this week.

It's a new week in April and still no guide contact. How many of us are left in this delivery window with no R1 delivery?

I'm one against on the proximity theory- I'm far away from any SC but have my Guide call later today...

UPDATE: Post call my config is locked. No other nutritional tidbits. I asked if she'd seen R1S being made and only said there were a few on the road. (I take that as a Texas-sized 'No we aren't making them yet'). Doesn't know which SC might be for my delivery address but gave a shout out to the forums for providing them with more information than they have from Rivian. Good for us but...yeesh...

Interesting and exciting! I hope your Guide contact/order confirmation step moves to the 8 Step program way faster than mine; I've been betwixt the two for 36 days.

honestly I think it has flipped.

They are probably experiencing high service calls with the wave of new vehicles. They pushed out most vehicles to the completed, high order area, service centers. Thus those will be busy with repairs, so then we started seeing a shift to the less in demand service centers (like texas/atl/mn).

I wonder if deliveries will follow this wave pattern. Deliveries high in one area, then switch to a different area, just to maintain normal levels of work at service centers.

Yeah, it doesn't fly at the moment. My personal theory is they've temporarily significantly slowed down on R1T guide contacts to make the R1S contacts and allow the service centers time to fix any QC issues on the trucks that are sitting at the SC or have recently been delivered (well said @Craigins).

Same here. I am now 38 months in from pre-ordering, and no guide assigned or communication (outside the blast emails). I would kind of understand if I was in a location that wasn't getting deliveries yet, but they are cranking them out in Denver. I saw one at the Costco right by my house this weekend, so I know they are going to people around me! I doubt it will be an April delivery at this point.

To be fair to Rivian, I have changed my config like 20 times (including going from R1S to R1T in mid-2021), so maybe I broke the system. :)

I'm March-April R1T / OC and no guide assigned yet. I've got low confidence April will happen given there are no known OC deliveries yet.
