Out of curiosity - can you tell me more about what went wrong? Knowing that may help me tailor the install video (or cut model which I am yet to make) to avoid this.
This is much easier than tint to my surprise, but would benefit a helper for the initial positioning. I installed it on our R1S and our Model Y, and have been driving like that for the past month. I've been testing windshield films over the past several years and all of them would have this...
Just FYI, we will be releasing windshield and sunroof PPF soon, for those who want to DIY. I just finished testing last week and now I need to make the template, install video etc, but it's coming soon :)
That is certainly a nice product, I bought it to try it but eventually stopped using it because it was blocking access to the OEM cup holders (and its own would push cups too high for me) and the floor console + mine was rattling when it has the cup holder inserts.
Yes, but I think there is a design that will work for both, I just need a Rivian with that port to see how things fit and make changes... so I fully expect the design (and based on experience probably packing too) will change once we get some feedback :)
Yup, Rivian uses a low energy plastic, meaning that it's hard to make anything stick to it. I've ordered and tested about 20 different types of double sided tape before I found one that works :) So, just saying - ours work, I've been using mine for about a month now and no issues. I then...
That would be most appreciated! Speaking of SoCal I am going to LA this Wednesday, will be in the Manhattan beach area. If you happen to be there, let me know I can perhaps just swing by.
If not - I live in Pleasant Hill, so Martinez is super close.
I think it will be compatible but you'd need different bolts than the ones we supplied, as previously mentioned as the bottom mounting points for some reason require longer bolts.
It's not slanted/tilted, it's pretty much flat (the bottom surface where you put things) but it does have silicone like liner that has high surface energy (i.e. friction) so things don't slide around on their own. I tried the faux leather we use for all other trays but I was getting too many...
I can set it up as a custom order for you if you need it soon (just DM me with name/email/shipping address), as updating it in production will take a bit - we can start making the new ones tomorrow, but we will first go through inventory and then I need my graphics team to make me new renders...
Ha, that was my initial design, kid you not! Then after using it for a while I figured - "Nah, all I do is keep my sunglasses here so this just adds one more step" and ditched the door. I might offer versions down the road, let me just get past this initial release where most of the small issues...
