There is no position where this won't happen. Let me explain why...
Modern iPhones' cameras stick out about 4mm. The charging coil of the iPhone is a few mm under the bottom edge of the camera bump. That means that the camera bump creates about a 4mm distance (air gap) between the Tx...
Rivian runs on the ATT network. Come back to the US, sniff the network, make notes. Then register as a telecom in Kazakhstan, buy a couple of cell towers and program them to identify themselves as ATT towers. Route their internet though US VPN or proxy.
Then, all you need is a satellite to give...
Hey folks,
It's this time of the year where we (the dads) get our 5 seconds of fame and funnily drawn pictures because the kids forgot that it's Father's Day and only remembered last minute when mom told them.
With that said, we're running a Father's Day sale. Use code FUNDAD for 15% off on...
This won't fit in the 2023 R1S I am afraid. This only fits the Gen2 (2025+) because Rivian redesigned the frunk in the Gen2 and added that space where this fits. In Gen1 it looked different there.
Wait until you see what's coming in the next couple of months 😂 I am trying to wrap things up with the R1S (meaning - to have nothing else I can do for it) before the R2 comes.
Hey folks
If you have a Gen2 Rivian, you've probably noticed that space on the driver side, under the shelf, that's pretty nice & spacious but hardly usable if you want to store smaller items, so I figured I'd design a frunk tray organizer so I can utilize this space. Happy to announce that...
Not sure they enforce this here to be honest. I recently drove a Model Y with front limo tint (5%) and no issues with enforcement although I could barely see anything through this 😂
But 50% gives you very noticeable heat reduction from the sides so I am happy with that too :)
Correct, I do that because my wife refuses to drive anything with darker tint and I need her to be able to drive the Rivian too. 35% is still a better match for the rear windows though but I’d go with no match and happy wife 😂
Very likely all of us here can afford it, but some prefer to save the money and DIY. Having the money doesn’t mean you want to spend it that way and if you are decent at DIY this is an easy project. It also saves a lot of time as you can do it in your garage for 20-30min instead of driving to a...
Windshield I might try in a few weeks with 50% as I have 50% (haven't stocked 70%) just to see if installation is easy enough to be DIYable. R1T in the other hand will have to wait as I own a R1S and the T I will have to rent but my plate is full of tasks. Most likely I will tackle the R1T...
I am tempted to do it, the thing is that the 70%+ VLT tints all have some blue hue. 50% in the other hand will be too dark for a windshield...undecided what to do yet. If there is a lot of interest, I might do it and see how it goes.
Thank you! :)
As for the window tint - those can be tricky to install indeed, but it greatly depends on the cut. It took me a bunch of trial and error to get to a cut template that is easy to install, and I am not sure anyone else has gone through so much trouble to perfect the cut as I have.
