Honestly, 0 recollection but just thinking logically if I ever saw it it must have been on the passenger side. The reason is that I was taking apart the plastic trims to look for the subwoofer which on the Gen1 was on the passenger side. Since then I traded in my Gen1 for a Gen2 R1S but I...
I have a vague recollection of seeing those just about the rear wheel wells (if you take apart the interior trim in that area, just behind the 3rd row /assuming an R1S here/) I think I've seen them there but it's been a while since I took this apart so I could be mistaken.
PPF is tricky to install on plastic with that many curves. It's doable but not sure DIYable with high success rate. With that said I might do a vinyl version at some point.
Thank you for supporting us! Notice the tail lights are a bit harder to install, due to the curve at the bottom of the light bar. Check out my install video to see how to handle it. If you run into issues you know where to find me 😉
Not yet sure exactly, but my schedule is looking like this in terms of priorities:
1. I need to finish up my wife's Model 3 Highland (for a full color wrap template + install video). I hope to do this in April, as it's almost done.
2. Once that's done I have to get the new Model Y Juniper for a...
I've had them on my Gen1 R1S for about a year - no issues. Now have them on my Gen2 R1S since last summer - no issues. At the same time I have seen people who reported that they peeled off in the winter (I've done winter trips to Tahoe too without issues), so longevity seems to be hit or miss...
I am not planning on wrapping the hooks actually...might give it a shot out of curiosity but this won't be a long lasting product - the first time you use the hooks the PPF will rip off. Mirrors - definitely doable. I will leave the mirrors for last as they tend to be tricky. Once I am done with...
We do have optional Pro Install Kit, but if you have most of the stuff that comes in it, I'd advise you just use that and save your money. We just buy most of this stuff off of Amazon to pack it for convenience. It's on my todo to fix that at some point.
Oh and for the record for other people reading this thread - I AM working on a kit that will wrap around the edges. When that's finalized I will offer stealth PPF and color PPF (would require de-badging though). Here's preview - tackling the quarter panel. The aim is to achieve easy-ish...
Ours (TWRAPS) uses only one port for now, but you should have in mind that current SW versions have issues. The Rivian doesn't handshake properly with anything leading to just 5V output most of the time (it's hit or miss, if you plug/unplug enough many times you will eventually get 15V for a...
My 5 cents:
1. Dirt and impatience are the biggest enemies. Use clean environment (definitely closed space), and be mentally prepared that it will take time.
2. Don't let it get dry and with bubbles underneath...you can lift up PPF and re-spray etc before it cures, so while you are working on a...
This one goes left of the steering wheel and also has a charging version that connects to the OBD port:

this one goes behind the display, no charging though...
We have a proprietary charging controller that is able to split between 2 phones even on 5V, but the max amperage I can get is about 7W, so if that's split between two it's about 3.5W per phone - quite insufficient. I randomly get 15V (the test is this - plug/unplug/plug/unplug until the meter...
