  1. 20" Inch New tire coming - BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A+.

And aside from the Michelin Defender Platinum, there aren't any AS tires that don't look like boring pavement donuts. But since Michelin only offers the Defender in LT form (in applicable size to us), that particular tire does not deliver on efficiency. So, no, you can't have your cake and eat...
  2. 20" Inch New tire coming - BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A+.

It's an all weather, i.e. AS/AT hybrid, like the factory Goodyear. Not a real AT. If you want a quieter AT, Toyo OC AT3 EV or Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascent among a few others. The Toyo is about the same price as the Pirelli AT. The Bridgestone is cheaper by about $100.
  3. EDV offroads and self recovers 😆

Heavy weight, soft shoulder, bad combo. Also, the "better you than me" dingbat motorists.
  4. 5 tire rotation - still a good idea?

Search this forum alone. There are SCs and places that would not touch that particular running board or slider. And, most commonly associated with this challenge. There is no consistency between the SCs on this matter. And too many falsely assume, based on their anecdotal experience, that all...
  5. SSD usb-c vs USB

Nuts… but also glad I bought Micron stock way back when speculators claimed the company was circling the drain. 14.4/share then. Crucial is one of theirs.
  6. 5 tire rotation - still a good idea?

Rivian owner guide recommendation is limited and conservative for sake of their liability—because tread depth difference of over 3/32” can cause errors with modern traction control software. Instead of acknowledging and allowing that nuance, they chose a narrow path that gives broader CYA. As...
  7. SSD usb-c vs USB

Yes. Not a good time to buy memory or SSD. Blame it on AI. Crucial X9 1TB was once $60. Today $147.
  8. SSD usb-c vs USB

I’ve been using a small Samsung USB-C thumb drive since Road Cam became available. Never had issues and it’s only 400mb/s r/w.
  9. Will R2 come with portable charger?

And most people, even if they don't have a L2 home charger, don't use the mobile charger... because it's even slower and limited to 32A max (in best conditions). Easy to see why they'd be losing/wasting money including it with ever single car. Hence, a gear shop accessory item rather than...
  10. Can’t send planned trip to car?

Quit iOS app. Relaunch. If problem remains, try full reboot of phone and retest. After that, the vehicle resets.
  11. Jacking with underside panels removed-jack pads required?

Agree. Every single owner should own a set of pucks and keep them in the car. Even if they don't foresee doing any DIY work. AND know what is in the Owner Guide about proper lifting procedures. The reason: If you ever need emergency roadside assistance, chances are those coming to your rescue...
  12. 20" ATs to Firestone Transforce HT2

Per info on rivianroamer factory efficiency for the stock AT is 2.17. So the 2.11 observed number for these AS is slightly worse. Likely due to weight, being a LT. More like speculation
  13. R2 Resale Market

There will always be fools with too much $. But given planned production numbers, flipping will probably be short lived.
  14. Jacking with underside panels removed-jack pads required?

Owners manual has been available online since deliveries began. It’s also accessible from mobile app and in-vehicle UI. Pucks are not needed at all if panels are removed to expose larger reinforced area. You just need to put something suitable between frame rail and jack saddle that will not be...
  15. Will R2 come with portable charger?

R1 is flagship line for the brand. And since MY25 (aka gen2) mobile charger has not been standard equipment. R2 price range is less than R1. 1 + 1 = ?
  16. Just found out about a new TSB? Remove the bedliner to mitigate possible water intrusion and electronics damage
