  1. Half-Shaft issue thread

Interesting. So now I wonder if -F is the part being replaced, or the replacement? It says it's the required part, but does that mean the part necessary to make repairs? Or the part necessary to qualify for replacement?
  2. First ever DIY pre-cut Color PPF Wrap for R1T - 12hrs install time

I have that one too, big it's so big! But fine, I'll accept PPF kit for that size.
  3. First ever DIY pre-cut Color PPF Wrap for R1T - 12hrs install time

What's the ratio for Matchbox R1T? 1:20 seems awful big.
  4. Half-Shaft issue thread

Please post screenshots of your work orders showing the exact full part number... Folks are focusing too much on the revision and not enough on the full part number.
  5. When it rains, your motor blows

Probably is too early, if I see a tech at pickup I ask mechanical/technical Qs. No mention of it NOT being covered, which she said at drop off she'd mention before any work began, so I'm going with... Under warranty.
  6. When it rains, your motor blows

Well, they haven't said anything about rock sliders, but confirmed today it's not just the disconnect but the entire rear drive unit. Parts will delay it a week then it'll take a couple days to complete.

You have to look at the whole part number, the variant is the ending letter. In this case, the newest variant is G for Enduro (in house dual motor). The Bosch quad did have a G, but they're now on H. Also, completely different part number.
  8. When it rains, your motor blows

Good news is they didn't say anything at drop off. Bad news is they haven't said anything since that afternoon. The truck hasn't moved from the same place in the service bay.
  9. Half-Shaft issue thread

Here's the actual doc: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2025/MC-11023488-0001.pdf It only applies to front dual motor: PT00087074-F
  10. Any experience with Bridgestone Dueler A/T Ascent SL 275/65 20?

Bump? I came looking for feedback after seeing them on Costco: https://tires.costco.com/Product?ItemNo=1979240&tirename=bridgestone-dueler-a/t-ascent&partno=019169&width=275&aspect=65&rim=20
  11. Seattle Times on Rivian

I did a $2 trial, took the 90 day extension offered when I tried to cancel, but 100% sure I'm not renewing for real now. I'll go give my money to the Kitsap Sun for local and keep my Reuters for national/intl.
  12. Seattle Times on Rivian

https://www.seattletimes.com/business/why-did-amazon-bet-billions-on-patagonia-pickups-rivians-rj-scaringe/ Paywall, so PDF attached. It's a typical Seattle Times muffing with incorrect numbers, plenty of editor misses, and barely an R2 mention. I know what they got wrong, but I don't know...
  13. Windshield Replacement

100% worth paying out of pocket for Rivian to do replacement and get full reimbursement later. Calibration isn't the issue, you usually don't need that, but quality of installation can be a problem at Safelite. Also, Safelite doesn't replace the rain sensor, they reuse the previous which can...
  14. First ever DIY pre-cut Color PPF Wrap for R1T - 12hrs install time

Straight from @twraps website! But I wouldn't mind wrapping my diecast model in it.
  15. V2 Powered Tonneau Cover ($3300 installed) now listed in Rivian Gear Shop

You, sir, have earned yourself a beer 🍻 Want me to order you a wiring harness? They're in stock. So is almost all of the rest of the kit too...
