  1. Half-Shaft issue thread

So ride with the tech lasted all of 5 seconds, barely backed out of the spot, said it's likely the rear disconnect that blew a gasket $340 part, $33 gasket. I'm curious if they're going to replace the whole thing, just the gasket, or if they find something more. It was a terrible noise and...
  2. Going into the shop in a few days, advice?

I didn't read your post, just title. Bring donuts, maybe bagels.
  3. Half-Shaft issue thread

I'm bringing this over from my other thread to hit a bigger halfshaft audience. I've been running in strictly Conserve mode for a couple days after a suspected rear drive unit failure. Before failure, I noticed a lot of clicks and tocks and telltale halfshaft knocking noises building over the...

So here's a funny side effect of only running Conserve mode for a couple days: my halfshaft crunches and tocks have disappeared 🤔

  11. When it rains, your motor blows

Okay here's a question I just realized walking out to my truck... I have Eletruck4x4 frame sliders with steps installed. If they need to remove the subframe to get to the drive unit, those will have to come off, right? I'm dreading what I assume will become an afternoon chore, I just...
  12. When it rains, your motor blows

For argument sake, what if the halfshaft failed as a result of heavy torque and damaged the disconnect and drive unit? Since the original point of failure isn't drivetrain, is the whole repair covered? Or, if the drive unit failure damaged the halfshaft, would halfshaft be covered?
  13. When it rains, your motor blows

For you and others, did they say whether it was comprehensive warranty or drivetrain warranty? I'm over 60k miles now, and from my pretty basic Florida public school reading comprehension skills, I read it as a drivetrain issue. See attached, and DM me if you need any specific! Edit to...
  14. When it rains, your motor blows

The irony is we had a camping trip planned for this weekend. We tentatively cancelled due to heavy smoke in that area, but the recent rain may abate it. It's been like 3 fall trips in a row something has popped up and I've needed to beg for a loaner R1T so I can use my RTT installed on...
