Thanks for the morning rabbit hole, I've come back up for air with some questions 🐰
Would this be under the Vehicle Dynamics CAN in the CGM?
The BCM LIN diagram is barely clear enough to read, but the full vehicle network architecture diagram is (probably intentionally) terribly blurry...
I just had to come and see what this really long thread was all about. Sometimes we all just need to put our frustrations in writing, or verbally process with our spouse at the dinner counter, to get it off our chests and feel better. Thank you, OP, for ending your post with a /rant, and you...
Please kick rocks and just let us grow some trees.
Thank you @starbux for sharing this! I've signed up for deliveries and will sign up for a 2026 nursery depending on my next assignment.
Sooo it is working how I thought. Why would the disconnect be actuated on a quad during Rally mode or while I'm at a slow All Purpose 25mph? Shouldn't they always be engaged? Did some recent update change engagement for efficiency?
Can you, or anyone else smarter than me (wide net), explain how the disconnects work? I thought they only disconnected with Conserve, but between my failure and this, I'm concerned they're activating/working/failing in other situations.
If the reset put it back to normal and you aren't hearing/feeling anything unusual on pavement, you're probably good. Just keep an eye on it, and keep those photos, should probably add it to your next appointment just so they can look at everything.
Was there an audible "CLUNK" or feel/sound like you ran over something? Or did it make a grinding/dry motor whirring sound after? I had to keep mine in Conserve until taking it in.
Gen1 quad? How many miles?
This is literally what happened to me last week trying to pass Grandma. They replaced the entire rear drive unit... But are now having software update issues.
@ksurfier we might've talked about this before, but I can't find it. I'm replacing one of my sets with these Goodyears. Do you think I replace my AS or AT? If these didn't exist, I'd get AT4W or similar for AT next and some Michelin MS2 or some other HT for potential towing as my AS.
Bump! There's someone who drives down Mullenix Rd every day with one, light colored R1T, I think white with a greyish topper. Are you on here, neighbor?
