Sorry to hear you got hurt. Definitely not the easiest truck bed to get into. I usually enter from the side by stepping on the tire and swinging my leg over.
+1 for Tidal sounding great on Meridian
Also, +1 for bedding. I found my R1T brakes are much more response after a good bedding.
99% of trips I don’t even touch the brake pedal in high regen, so I’ll smash the pedal (never coming to a full stop of course) every once in a while to ensure a...
Sounds about right. Had a local installer (Maryland) do a full front wrap with xpel Ultimate for $2k. Benefit of a (good) pro is that they should prep the paint to remove imperfections from the factory before applying the film.
Wrapped edges will look much better in the long run especially on...
Yes - they replaced the front drive unit. Much quieter now.
However, I do have a subtle but constant hum at highway speeds (70-75 mph). Not too worried about it but will have them look at next SC visit.
If the system automatically records “15 seconds of pre incident footage” that leads me to believe it’s constantly recording (then re-writing) short clips no matter what you select.
Otherwise how would it have the 15 seconds before the incident?
Yes that’s very similar to the sound mine was making. Primarily around 20-30 mph and not applying much throttle or regen (slack drivetrain). They will likely recommend a new drive unit.
I just dropped mine off to an SC yesterday for similar noise (seemed to be drivers side front around 20-30 mph) and they are replacing the front drive unit under warranty.
Wonder if there was a batch with some manufacturing defects. I’m VIN range 157xx. How about you?
Congrats from another Forest Greener in the DMV!
Did they mention when the new SC will open? I have a service appt in Richmond in a couple weeks, but Gaithersburg is much closer.
Mine isn’t a clunk - it’s more of a constant “whine” while the drivetrain is slack.
When under load, either accelerating or regenerating, it basically goes away.
Thanks for the response. I’m hoping it’s not a bad drive unit.
Would you be willing to share a screenshot of the work order paperwork? It may help me describe the issue to the SC I’ll be using (Richmond).
Thanks for sharing your experience. Did they give an indication of what failed with the CV?
Out of curiosity, did you have any driveline noise prior to the fix? Was the truck quieter after the fix?
I have Forest Green and would say that in most conditions it dark green. Only in direct bright sunlight do you get more “golden” due to the flake.
I also have Forest Edge interior and think the combination looks incredible and doesn’t feel like to much green. The FE seats are a greyish...
+1 on Abstract Ocean matte finish.
They also have very good customer service - my original shipment was lost in transit and they reshipped no questions asked.
I believe they also have a lifetime warranty but pls verify that.
Do you have Nationwide through Rivian?
One of the reasons I went with them was the added perk of including glass coverage with no deductible.
I believe this coverage is specific to their deal as Rivian’s “in-house” provider.
