Have been out and about on some trails this past month, and have been really happy with the DCE sliders.
Hit and slid on some granite rocks, and they've done just fine doing exactly what they needed to so to protect the truck. Some scratches and scuffs which I'll be touching up with some...
I did tie down anchors drilled into the door over the spare compartment in a manner similar to whats shown on this video:
The plastic is a composite that is actually pretty darn tough and decently thick. Not enough to anchor really heavy things, but medium sized items should be fine.

Or, you could do risers when putting on a RTT if you want to keep it aligned with the roofline when the RTT isn’t mounted. That’s what I’m considering for that potential situation
Awesome, thanks so much for sharing. Looks great!
Yeah, a couple of different angles would be awesome to see! I'm thinking the exact same RTT as well, so cant wait to see it mounted up. Thanks again!
Thank you for the review, and this is a great video too. Looking forward to seeing some use scenarios with 16" and 18" options with RTT, I'm deciding between those two at present

@mikehmb did you end up doing this trip? Where did you go?
I'm also planning a short notice 3-4 days with my daughter first week of April and thinking of heading up into this area given the mountain ranges have so much snow.
I have one of the clipper creek dual cord chargers. The main charger body is in the garage, where one cable goes to our tesla. The other is routed along the side and floor of the garage, just to the side of the garage door via a little cutout in the frame. The cable doesn't have any pressure on...
