In 2 years, the likelihood of whoever you sell to having an EV will also increase so the charger may be a selling point. We were home shopping a while back and one of the homes had an immaculate garage with dual EV chargers. I can barely recall anything else about that house but the garage/EV...
Where I live they ask if there are fatalities, otherwise you drag your (and their) ass in to the station for a report. I had a student driver gouge the entire length of my car with her side mirror as I patiently stood - immobile - in the left turn lane. There was a cop two cars behind her and he...
Not a function of the plug, it's a function of the current flowing to the charger and the charger's capacity to handle that current. Dedicating a 60 Amp circuit to a charger that is rated for 50 Amps will give you about 48 useable Amps. I have that setup in my garage, an Autel Maxicharger...
That's just a function of vehicle and battery size. For example, at 50 Amps (about 11-12 kW) a Chevy Bolt with a 65kW/h battery (half the size of the Rivian's battery) should get about 66 miles of charge in an hour compared to the Rivian's 22 miles/hour.
In an information feedback loop here's an article about planned implementation of key functionality as an Apple Watch app. It's an article that links to a Rivian Forums post from a few days back:

You may find that it's not essential. My wife and I primarily use our iPhones as keys with the RF cards as backup (for valet). My wife used the wristband the first week she had the car but hasn't used it since. We never use the fob. My wife likes the functionality of the app and warms/cools the...
Leasing was never not a consideration but the priority has been pre-orders. No need to focus on alternative methods to sell vehicles when your production is still limited.
We have 2 of these and couldn't be happier. Comes in hardwired or plug-in versions and is seemingly on sale every other week at Amazon. We paid $479. Decent software and even has an option of RFID cards to limit usage to authorized persons only...
We have a house in the country, about an hour northwest of Chicago. We were the only Rivian around when we took delivery in December. I saw three last week.
Last I checked we had two key cards, the fob and a wristband for our R1S. I always have a keycard with me just in case I need to valet. My wife, who frequently misplaces keys, never forgets her wallet (hard to shop without it) and keeps her keycard there. Neither is especially onerous.
Apple has also been rumored to have their own EV in development, so maybe they don't want people getting too comfortable with a potential competitor's car-based OS.
I ordered over 3 years ago. Live within 2 hours of the factory. I talked up Rivian so much to my Tesla-driving neighbor that he finally put down a deposit about a year ago (March 2022-ish). Ran into him around Thanksgiving and he said he was waiting for his delivery the following week. My jaw...
