Looks TRON-ish!

Ever since launch of the Polestar 3, I've only seen one on the road and was very impressed. I also sat in one at the showroom and liked it. The volume must be super low. On the other hand, I see something like 10 Rivians every day!

The Polestar 3 has a $20K discount for leases or $18K for purchases so it's not that overpriced anymore. It's possible to get a new AWD model under $60K. Not sure about the tow hitch but I'd be surprised if it didn't have one.

It's nice to see the iX3 has Carplay.

Will be interesting to see what the new Volvo EX60 looks like when it's revealed in January. Time for an update to the EX40 too. It seems like the Audi Q6 turned out pretty good but a bit more expensive.

Not bad for under $60K

I wish they would update the remote with a Qi charger circuit and Li-Ion battery so I can set it in the charger tray and charge it while I drive.

Here are a few that come to mind: 1. Sub level setting separate from the EQ setting. 2. Ability to get a full map (or at least 3/4) on the driver's display, not just a little window. 3. Put an LED in the button that closes the liftgate on the R1S. Very hard to find in the dark. 4. Add a button...

I think the Jeep Recon will start around $60K at launch so I wouldn't be too surprised to see similar pricing on the R2. I wonder if the Jeep will be launched at the LA Auto Show since it's supposed to go on sale before the end of 2025.

I wonder if the lineup will be something like this: Single motor FWD/RWD standard battery - $45K Dual motor AWD standard battery - $55K (software unlockable performance) Dual motor performance AWD standard battery - $60K Tri-Motor performance AWD extended battery - $70K Optional software...

Supposedly, the app will communicate with your utility and charge daily based on 1) lowest cost and 2) demand. In California demand can change hourly and this allows the utility to tell the charger to pause charging if demand spikes. I already have this with my home charger and I get alerts...

Also for about $60K or so you will be able to get the new Mercedes GLC EV around the end of 2026 with it's huge 39" Hyperscreen and 16-speaker Burmester audio system. BTW, does anyone know if the R2 will have a base audio system and optional audio system upgrade like the R1?

PG&E gave me a free transfer switch since I live in a high fire risk area (pretty much all of California) to use with my portable generator. Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to build an inverter that connects between the EVSE and the transfer switch. Heck, I wouldn't mind unplugging the car...

Got the turtle once about 2 weeks after I got my 2023 R1S. It drove fine but they told me not to drive it more than necessary so drove it to the service center and left it there until they could fix it. They said that a connector had come loose. That was almost 2 years ago and no problems...

Street names on the driver display map. Even better would be a larger driver map (with street names).

I hope they put the street names back on the driver's mini-map. I really miss that.

Are they moving into the old Fisker location?
