I used to dread parallel parking but with all the cameras and sensors on the R1S it's pretty easy. It would be great if they added the ability to remotely move the vehicle forward and backward to assist when someone has parked too close and I can't open the door sufficiently to get in without...
Since the last update I don't have street names on the driver map, just landmarks are labeled. I don't know if this is normal or not but I liked having street names on the driver map.
I had the opposite problem occur. All the doors unlocked and presented except the driver door. I considered getting in on the passenger side but just locked and unlocked and it worked normally. Just happened once but never happened before.
My biggest question is will there be an audio upgrade and who is designing the system. Personally I'd like to see them partner with Legacy Audio which is not far away in Springfield, IL.
I plugged in the EQ settings and so far I'm really impressed. I think you've probably done the best you can with what you have to work with. I'm a big fan of EQ and I use the UMIK-1 at home with DIRAC to dial in my home system. Great work, thanks! Hopefully Rivian will see just how much we...
Also, even if you own a home it might not have a driveway or garage where an EV can be charged. Many homes in my neighborhood have street parking only and can only charge by running an extension cord across the sidewalk which I don't think is safe or legal but I've seen people do it.
I went from a 2003 4Runner to a 2023 R1S. Gave the 4Runner to my son. Still runs great with 250K miles. Not a single problem. Hope my R1S lasts that long.
I calculated that my R1S costs the same to drive as a car getting 35 MPG when charged at home during off-peak hours. That's for 20" AT tires so 21" AS will do better, probably 38-39 MPG.
Agreed. After the last "shutdown" they cut out 2 speakers among other things to make the audio system "better". Not sure I want to wait and see what they do next time.
I believe that the new V4 Superchargers have longer cables. Perhaps they will retrofit older stations with the new cables. https://insideevs.com/news/655277/tesla-v4-superchargers-europe-longercable/
