If it stays as written, the answer is no. It's currently $4,500 if made in the US AND by Union labor. They are tied together right now. Also another $500 if the batteries were made in the US. I think Rivian, for now, is using Samsung batteries made in Korea. I believe there's been...
We agree! That might be the first time for us?
I would add to what you wrote, that it would be nice if they got out in front of it for once, instead of doing the bare minimum on the last day of the month, as they've done historically.
-Set reasonable targets
-Communicate reasonable targets...
I don't remember the exact numbers, but I think it was something like 1,000 trucks delivered by end of year. I'm now wondering if there's at least 1,000 employees with trucks ordered, and there will be no customers (that aren't related to the company) who will get a delivery this year?
I think it's safe to say that the contact will be a mass email on the last day of November, and the "expected delivery timing" will remain a blanket "by the end of Spring". No real new info, and certainly no personal touch.
This is how the company has historically acted with their...
Thank you for recapping this. The revisionist history by Rivian apologists is highly concerning.
We're told by these same people that we should only go off of official emails from Rivian. But then were also told that we shouldn't believe what we're told in these emails unless we are fools...
No it hasn’t and no it shouldn’t. Discussing another potential delay is completely on topic.
Just stop reading the thread if the content doesn’t interest you.
I was really hoping to not have to update my list of poorly communicated delays, but here we find ourselves.
Sometime in 2020 -> Really meant December 2020
December 2020 -> Really meant June 2021
June 2021 -> Really meant July 2021
July 2021 -> Really meant September 2021
Sept 2021-> Really...
So you're mad that you're not being offered the same discount as institutional investors/underwriters...
AND you're mad that you're limited to 175 shares...even though you think it's a bad deal and Rivian is being greedy...
AND you previously stated that you didn't want to invest because the...
The Denver service center build seems to be coming along slowly, but nicely.

I'd imagine Denver/CO will be somewhere mid-pack in terms of timing.
For everyone who hasn't yet received the email from MS, did you receive the previous email yesterday from Rivian? Did you fill out the original form of intent on the Rivian website?
Just curious. Hope you all get your email soon.
Lucid was not a publicly traded company in February. There was a SPAC with a theoretical intent to invest/merge with Lucid, but that's far different from the actual open trading of LCID on the exchange.
LCID is currently trading at almost a 50% premium over it's debut on the NASDAQ.
I mean, they could’ve told us to all pound sand and we would have had to buy on the open market.
I think offering this at all is very generous, and I’m thankful for it.
