Not trying to be mean, but most of what you wrote is misleading.
R1S doesn't qualify since it's over $69K
R1T might qualify, depending on how you kit it out - Need to stay under $74K
Neither are made by union workers, and CNET appears to have that "US Built" part wrong. There is no provision...
I'd have to drop the Off-Road package, and some number of accessories to keep the LE under the cap. Annoying, but an easy choice to make to save $7500.
Looks like Lucid deliveries start this Saturday. They're having a big event, live streaming, and also letting the lucky recipients go wild with their new cars:

Not trying to be a big downer here...
You are not allowed to personally want one thing while simultaneously understanding the reason for an opposing viewpoint while on this forum. I thought that was understood.
How dare you.
I was thinking of all the things I have in my current glove box. Turns out not having a glovebox is excusable.
-flashlight: now in the door

There are never winners in these debates. If you complain, you’re told to cancel your order and STFU. If you defend Rivian, you’re a blind fanboy who needs to STFU.
So I guess I’ll stay quiet…
Wow. So incredibly disappointing. 2 cars per day is far below my already very low expectations.
Seems it’s going to be a very long time until any non-employees get their vehicles.
Haha! I believe I’ve made my position on this clear :)
Good to hear about the potential start of deliveries from your friend though! I think November is going to be an exciting month.
R1T EPA range is 314 based on mixed testing (conserve/sport).
A/T is estimated at 10/15% not 20%
Towing 11K lbs is estimated at 50% range reduction.
Snow/Cold/Speed are all TBD
If you're dealing with all of these things at once, EV is probably not practical for you.
Dedicated snow tires on any of the rim sizes will be better than any of the standard tires that come with the Rivian. Finding snows for the 21" will be challenging at best.
If it were me, I'd run the stock 20's (since they have the 3 Peak designation) for a season and see how it goes. If it's...
You’re not going to participate because someone you’ve never even met has outsized expectations on their return? Even though it has literally zero impact on you? Odd.
