This canāt possibly be true :)
Weāve been told that every single auto manufacturer runs their line 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. I donāt care what the CEO of the company says, nor the head of the plant.
Sorry, Iāll stop now.
Itās a great point.
Based on photos/pics it looks like the rear panel is removable by accessing the bolts underneath the plastic circle covers. I guess the question is whether or not they actually want end users accessing that area for general cleaning and maintenance, or if itās intended just...
I wondered the same thing, especially since there's only one button.
I was informed that pressing the button whilst the cover is opening or closing will stop the activity. Pressing the button again will reverse direction. So in short, yes.

Several of the reviewers from the Colorado event mentioned it was pretty bad in it's current state. I'd expect frequent OTA improvements for the coming years.
Normally I would agree. But Bloomberg seems to have a serious bias against Rivian, for some reason. Starting with that miserable reporter they sent for the test drive, and now this series of stories they're running, they seem to really not want Rivian to succeed.
Maybe it's just me, but...
Lol. I know that feeling. I started my career as a strategy consultant and worked in just about every industry I shouldnāt be allowed to offer advice.
My Dad worked in the tool and die shop at a GM plant for many years, but things can change. Sorry it/I got a bit heated.
Yeah, it's getting pretty childish. I'll bow out of this conversation.
You're both good people and we're not going to get each other to agree. I'll move along.
My goodness. 2 seconds of research would have saved you here. And yes, I'm still talking about auto manufacturing.
From the biggest manufacturing plant in the US:
From the biggest plant in Europe:
And now GM
It's how SOME manufacturing works. But it's far from universal. Many plants shut down for at least 1 day per week in order to do the maintenance and tooling changes. Hence why I assumed 6 days in my math earlier.
Either way. You guys are gonna believe what you want to believe. Let's...
No, I'm not assuming. It's not in my nature. And I'm not interested in what your friend of a friend who works at a completely different company is doing. I use real information, as we know it, not conjecture.
LOL at believing they're going to be running at full capacity, 24 hours a day...
