Since OP has owned his Rivian over 1.5 years (~1.8), 3% would be in line with the "1-2% per year." Even so, I doubt that there is an EV maker on the planet who would call "3% degradation...significant."
When I had my power tonneau cover upgrade done on my R1T, they were going to keep it a couple of days, and give me credits for an Enterprise rental. I decided to delay it, until they could get it done in one day. They were able to give me a loaner R1T for the day, but it depends on availabilty.
Get the EA app. I live in metro Phoenix, and use EA fairly regularly in other parts of Arizona. EA chargers have been working fairly reliably for me for quite a few months.
There aren't any available Tesla SCs in northeast Arizona, or northwest New Mexico (until you get to Grants).
Here's a...
I have seen an interview with RJ wherein he states (as I recall) that every Rivian has the hardware to do V2H. It just hasn't been implemented, yet. I assume that they've done testing on prototypes.
Seems like a great idea. Personally, I installed an opaque reflective sunshade between the sunroof glass and the cabin (R1T). I leave it in all the time (I don't like having glass overhead anyway). And I also put a sunshade in the windshield when I park in the sun (just common sense in sunny...
I live in metro Phoenix, and make frequent trips to Tucson (including throughout last summer). I can assure you that it is possible to charge with DCFC, even when the ambient temperature is high.
It seems likely that "someone will fill a gap to take (your) money" eventually - you *should* have the option to opt in on policies with those features. However, the free market can be slow to respond, and spotty in its application.
I just want to know that Rivian isn't selling my information to...
Maybe your insurance company will cancel you because they see that you have driven on a road or in a part of town that they decide is too risky. Or maybe they'll cancel you or raise your rates because they decide you may have braked too hard (because some other fool made some dangerous lane...
I am happy for your state of financial security. My suggestion (and it was only a suggestion) was intended (not only for you) for all the people in this thread (and similar threads) that felt the need to inform us that they never use the fob. I do understand keeping it as a backup.
To all those...
I saw a news item, recently, where GM had been feeding data on their drivers to insurance companies (surreptitiously, or mistakenly, selected opt in for giving the data). Does anyone know Rivian's policy on customer data? Can we be sure that they do/will not sell/provide this information to...
It might be six months or more before Rivian sends me an adapter. But the Tesla SC map (that is open to Rivian, in Arizona) is so limited, that there is almost no place I could/would use a Tesla SC. The map hasn't changed since Rivians got access, and now that Elon has fired the charger team, it...
I've got a Samsung Galaxy S10e with Android 12. My SO has a Galaxy S9 (with Android 11, I presume), which worked last year with the Rivian app (when I first got my R1T). But later in the year Rivian introduced a version of its app that requires Android 12. She is still able to use it as PAAK...
