It probably would. Maybe its 1/4” total diameter too small. It doesn’t fall through the wheel, its just the tabs don’t engage.
The grey of the Rivian center cap contrasts to the black gloss wheel paint though, So might be easier just to go with another solution vs trying to rig something to...
I had a 10 year old Ford Fusion Energi with about 100k miles and the battery capacity was about half also; I calculated based on charge times. I understand no liquid cooling on those batteries, which didn’t help, but yeah they basically get a full cycle every day for most owners, so roughly 5-7x...
Measured the center bore with my cheapo calipers. Does appear to be roughly 64mm so great news there. Took a few photos of some of the markings, and also the backside of the wheel. You can see from the backside the clearance to the calipers looks like it will be fine.
Also tried the Rivian...
Sorry folks been a little swamped. My tpms and tires have arrived today. Will probably be next week when I can get the tires mounted. Am fairly confident the wheels will clear the calipers, but will try one out over the weekend if I have time and confirm.
Much happier if the rating is 2500lb -...
So the rims came already. They are actually stamped Fondmetal 9XR. No weight rating on the box, but per the web weight rating is 2000lb. https://www.mrwheeldeal.com/buy-wheel-offset/185MM-2090512045/fondmetal-9xr-20x9-45?suspension=Leveling+Kit
Should be sufficient for my winter mountain trips...
Yeah I will get them next week and take a look to see what size hub they are made to accomodate and then order the appropriate centering rings. So little info on the tirerack site about these yet.
My googling makes me think Radius has been bought out by another Italian company, Fondmetal, and I...
275/60r20 is very close to 275/55r21, the former has a 2mm bigger diameter, so to all intents an purposes the same size.
265/60r20 is 10mm narrower tread, and 10mm smaller diameter than the 275/55r21, so the difference is a little bit more.
Looks like a 265/60/r20 would work too and is only 1.2% smaller diameter than the 275/55/r21. source - https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wheel1=275-55-21X8.5ET45&wheel2=265-60-20X9ET48&fcl=50mm&wcl=30mm&scl=50mm&sr=0mm
I’m going to go with 275/60r20 which gives almost identical diameter to 275/55/r21 and hopefully therefore avoid any need for a service center visit to reset the truck.
No - I will see what specs are in the box and report back. Nothing on tirerack and googling brought up nothing. Looks like a new product, and with the crazy offset seems likely it was made to target Rivian, so hopefully it is sufficient.
Just ordered a set to put some Nokian’s on for winter. Was gonna go with Ram 2363 but this offset results in a virtually unchanged scrub radius so should handle better...
Mine has also had the CGM (Central Gateway Module) replaced. They were unable to replicate the issue on their CCS charger at the service center, but taking screenshots of all the failed sessions and a screenshot of the charger indicating a vehicle error had them conclude this was the issue...
Hope this fixes it for you, and hope they can fix mine likewise when it goes in again mid-August. I totally get the stress - got stuck overnight on one trip and has shaken my confidence to take a trip in the R1T for now.
I spoke too soon on mine being resolved. It seems to be temperature related. When I try to DC fast charge and the weather is warm (95F today), the same charger trips out which works when its cooler (60F). Symptoms are the same as yours @kwmiller. Maybe mine is the MCM/DC control module too. I...
Nice write up! My trailer lights were inop too. Turned out the hitch connection was not plugged in from the factory. Service center had to remove the rear bumper cover to plug it in.
Did your truck go into tow mode? If not, you likely have the same issue.
