  1. CCS charging not working? ***RESOLVED 7-27!!!***

So I drove last night to Manteca RAN. Charged 25% to 90% flawlessly. So, I don’t think there is anything wrong hardware-wise with the truck in terms of the battery etc - clearly it can handle the dc current. I do wonder if there is a truck software bug with 3rd party communication to the...
  2. CCS charging not working? ***RESOLVED 7-27!!!***

Thanks - yeah I tried that and it reverted me back to being able to charge on low speed 50kW chargers at least (before that no dcfc would connect at all). 150 kW chargers were still cutting off in a minute or so after the hard reset. After a year of flawless DCFC experience (except when...
  3. CCS charging not working? ***RESOLVED 7-27!!!***

Awakening the zombie thread as I’ve just hit this issue today after a year of DCFC being great. Have tried 8 different DC chargers today and 50kW with 2 hour charge times are all that will work reliably. 150kW and up will either refuse to connect to the car, or connect for 2 minutes then stop...
  4. Dual Motor EPA Certification Application (Reveals HP, Efficiency, Range, MPGe Figures)

I can confirm that switching from conserve to all purpose, the amount of regen felt, and seen on the meter did not change. I changed drive modes specifically to try to get more regen on a long descent down the sierra nevada after the “reduced regen” warnings, and it didn’t work. Luckily on my...
  5. Dual Motor EPA Certification Application (Reveals HP, Efficiency, Range, MPGe Figures)

I think it will be the same. Regen is no worse (nor better) in 2 motor or 4 motor modes with the 4 motor R1T. It seems to be limited more by the state of charge and cumulative regen use (long descents) than motor capacity.
  6. Tire wear using Conserve Mode after ~ 6000 miles

I was concerned fwd would wear the front tires more, but my fronts wore about the same as yours (slightly faster than rear) and I never used conserve. Now I use conserve on the freeway a lot. It often means I can get home vs have to stop and charge. I’m at 17.5k on my 21s with one rotation so...
  7. Powered tonneau replacement prediction (it’s not positive)

Anyone who didn’t read and act on their purchase agreement has already opted out of class actions. I suspect this is 90%+ of owners. I have a temperamental powered cover, and do expect that it might not be “upgraded”. I’ve kinda learned to live with mine since the first repair, and that means...
  8. Alignment woes

Yeah - may even be wind? Might be worth waiting for the next software update. I imagine with 4 independent motors they may be able to run different wheels at ever so slightly different speeds to try to keep the truck straight?
  9. Alignment woes

Only driven for 20 miles so far and seemed fine. Will report back after more miles if it seems to still pull. if I were you I’d ask for another alignment with printout if possible.
  10. Alignment woes

So my alignment at the South San Fran service center was successful. Wheel is now straight, and truck tracks straight. However, activating Driver+ now causes a lurch to the left. I talked to service and will try a hard reset, but suspect the truck will be going back in for a sensor recalibration?
  11. Alignment woes

Mine has only just started. Never had the problem until the last few days. Maybe something has come loose and affected my alignment? We’ll see what SC says :).
  12. Alignment woes

Mine also has the wheel cocked to the left, and pulls to the right. Driver+ now refuses to engage saying I need an alignment. I have about 12k miles and have only just started to notice it, which is weird. I am the only one who drives my truck and there was no impact with a curb or pothole that...
  13. Random 20 Inch rims (cheap) for snow tires

Reached out to all of them and no go. They will only sell rims to replace damaged ones at this time is the message I got. Otherwise you have to buy the full package from the shop.
  14. SNOW MODE & other nice upgrades coming in Rivian Software Update 2022.47 ❄️

Same. I want it before I drive up to Tahoe next week. I don’t wanna get into juggling the gas pedal to slow and stop without skidding.
  15. ⚠️ Rivian Recall: insufficiently torqued front upper control arm & steering knuckle fastener [official torque value = 90 lb-ft / 122 Nm]

Mine only has witness marks on one side for some bolts too, though don’t know if this signifies normal or is part of the overall problem? I’m in two minds about doing myself. I have a 21mm socket and torque wrench, but I’d kinda like them to have proper statistics on how many were not correctly...
  16. Touch-up paint

Which supplier did you use? Looking for a good match for LA Silver as the Rivian OEM touch up paint is not working out for me.
  17. Rivian Touch Up Paint Pen now on gear shop

I got the second LA Silver pen. Same bad color. Going to order some aftermarket touch up paint instead.
  18. Rivian Touch Up Paint Pen now on gear shop

Rivian are sending me a new one. My guide helped me out. Will see if its any better than the previous one. Nice to see Rivian being so responsive to this. Crossing my fingers I just got a bad one.
