Yea, this would be my first step in further diagnosis. If a fuse is blown, then there is likely a short somewhere. If the fuse isn’t blown, then the inverter itself could be failing.
One question I have is if they’ll still pay 110% if I don’t get another Rivian, or at least a new Rivian. I’ve found several used R1T’s in my area that are under 10000 miles and priced at or very close to $80K. If I don’t get another NEW R1T, do they only pay out ACV? I’m hoping to figure this...
This is from a Colorado contract. It’s RCV but it’s limited to 110% of the original MSRP.
Here is what the contract says:
My MSRP was ~$80K so that would be $88K. I owe a hair under $58K so that would leave me with $30K to put down on a new vehicle. I didn’t see any provision that covers...
Ahh, roger that... :)
If I can't get it, I can't get it. It's not the absolutely best situation but it's not going to totally piss me off either. At this point it's just a factor that will make me consider the R1S.
On that, I've been trying to get my Rivian Guide to contact me with R1S...
I haven't submitted the order yet. I have to get with the insurance adjuster first. Also, this is Rivian/Nationwide insurance. I'm fairly sure they'll get me in an R1T quickly.
Got official word back this morning that my truck has been declared a total loss. Next up will be a call from the adjuster to get a replacement vehicle.
One thing that sucks is that I'll lose the power tonneau if I get a new R1T. I really liked that feature. It's one thing that may push me to...
Come on Rivian, y’all have to make this right.
OP’s story is starting to gain attention from automotive blogs. Hopefully the negative attention will push Rivian to do the right thing here.

The kit does’t have a deflator. IMO, the best one on the market is from ARB. I also recommend getting spare tire stem valves (easy to replace) if you do any significant off road driving.
Sometime in the future you’ll go up to an empty EA charger and then realize there is a long line to the Tesla chargers down the street. You’ll then go line up and wait for the Tesla charger because they won’t burn your car to the ground and work pretty much all the time.
First off, hello my Louisiana brother.
The Wall St Journal had a similar article on this just last Saturday. Repair costs had me leaning away from buying a new R1T to replace the one that was wrecked early last month. But after reading how much repair costs have climbed across the entire...
Went to the collision center today. Got my spare tire, flashlight, and a couple other items that had been locked in the spare tire compartment. The tire was undamaged so I can use it with my next (presumed) R1T. Unfortunately my traction boards are still trapped in my gear tunnel. The collision...
The more I look at the Lomax, the more I like it.
It's looking unlikely I'll be able to get a power tonneau cover for my replacement truck, so this is likely the way I'll go. IMO, the Rivian manual tonneau is lame.
What I would REALLY like is a DiamondBack tonneau. I wonder if the Maverick...
