  1. Still dealing with insurance but ordered a new R1T

No, it’s not available. That color is crossed out. Do you know how often they add new trucks?
  2. Still dealing with insurance but ordered a new R1T

Yea, none for me but I’m in Denver. Also, I see that one has the original pricing. Did you reserve a Launch Edition back before they closed ordering for them? That could be the reason you see it in your R1 shop. I never ordered a launch edition. I’m looking for Quad Motor, large battery, All...
  3. Still dealing with insurance but ordered a new R1T

WOOHOO!! Got access to the R1 Shop today! Several Rivian Blueā€˜s that are exactly like my old truck, minus the power tonneau. Hopefully insurance comes through tomorrow and I can place an order. Sadly, no Launch Greens.. Can’t win them all.
  4. "A" Post Grab Handle

An a-pillar handle is extremely helpful for those that are altitude challenged. Our Jeep has a 3.5ā€ lift and 37ā€ tires. My 5’4ā€ wife easily gets in and out because of the a-pillar handle. She has a much harder time getting into our former R1T at standard height. The ceiling handle is kinda...
  5. Buy new or used? Pros and cons?

Thanks for this list. I’m still considering a used R1T to replace my wrecked one. I really do want to buy new but the price difference between used and new is pretty big. Also, if I buy used, I think I can get a Launch Green. :)
  6. US EV market struggles with price cuts and rising inventories

At Ford, quality is job 23573. They’ve gotten seriously bad over the last few years. I started when they began the rollout of the current generation of the Explorer. That car was a disaster from the start. They’ve just gotten worse. It’s only taken them a decade to screw up everything Alan...

  8. Still dealing with insurance but ordered a new R1T

I’m pretty much going to get the same thing as my previous truck. The only thing I would consider changing is the color but that’s only if a miracle happens and a Launch Green appears in the R1T shop.
  9. Still dealing with insurance but ordered a new R1T

Today I got a bit fed up with Nationwide. They’ve been taking way to long to get our claim settled so I can get into a new R1T. They stated it’s taking a long time to get the assessment done so they can determine the final payout. For those that don’t know. Our truck was totaled after an...
  10. Dual-Motor Rivian R1T first test drive review: "It’s the Same Picture" (Motortrend)

yea, I read that. I don't think that's enough justification to keep the quad motors.. but then I'm not Rivian.. Things like torque vectoring and locking diff can be done with dual motors. you don't have to have quads to get a good off roader.
  11. Dual-Motor Rivian R1T first test drive review: "It’s the Same Picture" (Motortrend)

IMO the Dual Motor Performance is totally pointless as long as the quad motor exists. Thus I very much expect the Quad Motor to disappear in a year or two. Without Tank Turn, quad motors simply aren't needed. The standard dual motor with the large battery pack stays under $80K. If Rivian gets...
  12. Colorado WTB - Crossbars

I'm waiting to see what my insurance does on my totaled R1T. I'll offer my crossbars for sale IF I'm unable to get another R1T. Meanwhile, you should check out and ask on the Rocky Mountain Rivian Club on Facebook. Someone there may be able to help you as well.
  13. We're OK, but our R1T is not..... rear ended accident

Yea, I think it’s just the camera and the fact that the suspension is just hanging there.
  14. We're OK, but our R1T is not..... rear ended accident

Just watching my truck slowly slip into the night.
  15. Colorado Checking In

I’m thinkin’ the same. Though I got an email from Nationwide today that makes me think I may be getting a new R1T.
  16. Colorado Checking In

Checking out used R1T's on Cars.com and found this. Does it belong to anyone here? Depending on the insurance thing, this may be the way I go. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/5af2d92c-b23b-407e-871c-9f93e5232260/ I saw a few other low mileage R1Ts that I'm keeping an eye on.
  17. Best Place to suggest feedback for Rivian?

The Rivian Reddit page is another good place to put a suggestion. Their engineers are always reading it.
  18. Colorado Checking In

Update on my car situation: So I’m shopping for a new car right now. I’m still leaning towards getting another R1T (new or used) but that is dependent on how the insurance situation shakes out. I’ll know more on Monday or Tuesday when the adjuster is supposed to contact me. Anyways, my wife was...
