yea, I read that. I don't think that's enough justification to keep the quad motors.. but then I'm not Rivian.. Things like torque vectoring and locking diff can be done with dual motors. you don't have to have quads to get a good off roader.

IMO the Dual Motor Performance is totally pointless as long as the quad motor exists. Thus I very much expect the Quad Motor to disappear in a year or two. Without Tank Turn, quad motors simply aren't needed. The standard dual motor with the large battery pack stays under $80K. If Rivian gets...
