    Interesting idea. The benefits of full 4 wheel control are big. I wonder how practical it would be and how much cost savings from using 4 less powerful motors (maybe 100hp each) vs 4 of the current 200+ hp motors or 2 of the same, as I assume they plan on doing.

    Yeah honestly they should just cancel the dual motor R1 and focus on that for the R2 only. Also helps with model differentiation long term, knowing all of the original R1's are quad, which I'd argue helps Rivian as a brand.

    Dang this is making me a little concerned as I definitely plan on spending a lot of hours driving in desert areas, and I'm quite sensitive to the sun/light. I hope there will end up being a safe way to add ceramic tint. It's a bit disappointing Rivian didn't do this from factory.

    Looks like that Prime CS is a regular film (not ceramic), as you and others have alluded to, hence the low IR number.
