Understood. I have the Cove system and it doesn't have that but warns about low batteries before chirping becomes an issue.They use a small sensor that is basically a microphone and it detects the loud siren of the heat/fire/smoke/CO alarm and then triggers the central alarm system.
I have one in my house. It works well... Perhaps too well... The "low battery chirp" on one of my detectors triggered my whole house alarm and the FD showed up.

Cove does have a heat sensor as part of their so-called "smart" smoke detector which is both smoke and significant heat increases, so perhaps I'll give that a try. However, I will have to clean the sensor regularly as they say that dust hurts the sensors and there is more than plenty of dust in my garage.
