Wish they'd arrive sooner. Discount Tire site says Oct which will be near winter tire switchover for us. I was hoping to swap out the AT's right away (expecting delivery this week) but sounds like I'll need to wait.
We're in snow and hills (Central Oregon) and typically switch to winter tires. Which non-winter tire is the best warmer weather pairing ? I don't need track performance so the goal is more pragmatic/functional tire for the occasional highway trip and close to home driving. My tentative plan was...
OK, I get my soup after all. Just had to reload every single doc I'd already loaded. Not sure if I get my delivery scheduled date back though. I think there's a good-cop/bad-copy between my guide and the delivery center.
@markk well at least you know more than I do. Just hoping the car is still in my name somewhere. I even got a follow-up deposit refund confirmation ! So far no word though.
Miami ! That would be a bit of an extra drive.
Curious if anyone else experienced something like this. I had a delivery appt setup a few weeks out then got a surprise delivery and order cancellation. My guide had no idea what happened. I'm sure they'll sort it out but unsettling to see it completely wiped from my account. Maybe I just got...
Good to know. Still wish Rivian would swap it's port for NACS but not likely to happen. I guess the Tesla charger with that adapter is my best bet. I'll likely need that adapter anyway for charging at a Tesla charge station.
We have a Model Y and soon an R1S. What basic adapters should I have for road trips to maximize my charge options for both cars.
We have Nema (14-50's I believe) receptacles in our garage for charging (4 gauge romex connected to a 50A breaker). From reading a few threads, sounds like I can put...
I've got 4g Romex, 50A breaker connected to a 15-50 outlet (200A service, new construction). I was surprised to see my Tesla only registering 34A when charging.
Could I simply replace the breaker with the 60A version and have a bit more charge throughput ?
@Thedude what makes you believe they'll force an upgrade to get the configured 20" wheels ? They at least allowed it when I set my configuration a few months ago (sorry, forgot the official step name but when I had to confirm it to get the delivery est). Would certainly suck to wait it out only...
Hey Nick, sorry if I'm misreading but you're a pre-price-increase customer ? How'd you get a dual-motor ? (I'm in Bend so not too far away). I'd prefer dual for the range and cost if they offer any price incentive for pre-increase customers. The CS rep I spoke to today mentioned the possibility...
I had been a Q2 '24 Estimate delivery for R1S with AT Wheels (chose due to tire options, not planning much off roading other than the occasional trail head).
The Store options all have the All Terrain upgrade so around $2k more than my config. Not the end of the world though I don't really need...
@Steve A. I'm with you and feel at least some of your pain. Rivian has a lot of waitlist customer credibility to earn back. Make a transparent system. Only so much excuse you can make with delivery location variance, at least that people are going to take your word for. If there's a big delta...
@sac602 Ignore the SOL part. That's likely my misread. More relevant was the part about it being part of 2022 TY and the need to amend to get the rebate so not sure how long you have to do that but likely can be after EOY 2023.
I'm in the same boat. Despite the CFO's comments about...
I discussed with my tax preparer. It's ok to take delivery in 2023 and file for the "Inflation Reduction Act" rebate if you also have the Pre-Aug-2022 signed order. So if you're still waiting for delivery, you can cross your fingers the vehicle will arrive in 2023 before EOY and file an...
Wow ! I'll hope for that to happen to me. First half of 2024 will be a stretch for me but I saw the recent news that many R1T orders had been moved up so wished that might happen for R1S's. Maybe should have changed color to Red.
I was worried more that they might use it as another excuse to blast me to the back of the line so they could collect full price from more recent order.
