So I tried to accept by putting in my full name and email. But after clicking on Accept, it jus brings me right back to the same page. Did it go through? There's no indication anything happened.
Tried in Chrome and Edge browsers.
Nothing wrong with that. If the situation works out financially for you it would be silly not to take advantage of it.
I'm sure this is happening all over the country. 8500+ R1Ts made and a very small subset of owners on this forum, plus you're seeing a bunch show up at car dealers. People...
As others have said, would be difficult to know for sure.
But I have to ask, a pickup truck and SUV are completely different vehicles with different use cases. The R1T is also 17" longer.
Frankly I'm surprised at the number of people who wanted a pickup truck in the first place here. More...
Well, I'm 99.99% this is right but...
Media embargo of the R1S recently was lifted. Only a small number of reviews released, none that I know of where they took anything apart.
We can assume everything is the same, but it is also possible something like the hub diameters may be slightly...
I'm a "car guy" and have (and had) some fun vehicles.
Vehicles like the Rivian and Teslas are quick. I wouldn't call them fast. In drag racing or short track scenarios, the EV/instant torque will be very consistent. You can probably run a 0-60 in 3.2 seconds 10 times in a row. Try doing...
I believe there is also no definitive information on whether there are any actual differences between a 3xxx and 8xxx vehicle.
Tesla for instance has been making recent updates mid-cycle like they always do (swivel screen, new taillights, new headlights, reworked rear trim, etc).
Rivian is the...
I have a GT3, and I'd like to talk to the person who suggested it feels similar.
Could the Rivian steering be tight? Of course. Could it have a low ratio? Of course. Could the steering wheel be smaller? Sure. But steering feel and precision have a lot more dependencies, many of which are...
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think people need to look at this and think about how hard it is to get to that point from nothing.
Think about yourself sitting in your room, "hey I want to make an EV car company that will compete with Tesla and other big brands" and then a few years later...
I consider myself a pretty hardcore "car guy" and I can see where OP is coming from.
But as a car guy (if he is one), you have to get out of the Jack of all Trades mentality because there isn't one vehicle that will do it all. If you keep chasing it, you'll never be happy.
To remedy it, I...
True, and if you don't have the spare tire, the space under the little cubbies (under the rear trunk panel) is huge. You could easily fit another small carryon-sized suitcase in there.
I don't doubt it. Saw a couple up close at the Venice Hub in Southern California. I'm 5'10" and I know I'll have no problem. Tons of room/length.
EDIT: However, if you plan on sleeping two back there AND have cargo/luggage, it'll be tight no matter what.
It is funny I posted this over a month ago. Now I'm sort of glad I got the 7 seater after seeing it in person.
I don't know exactly how large the battery packs are but even with the 7 seater there is a LOT of room under the rear where the spare tire would go. I'd rather skip the spare tire...
Are you asking if it is a fabric that you can push in/rip vs. a hard speaker grill?
It is the latter. I'd be more worried about dogs scratching the "leather" surfaces vs. that speaker grill.
I went there this past weekend. Some pictures/comments below. I didn't include any photos where it is the same as the R1T (front end, frunk, etc).
If you have any specific questions, let me know and I can try my best to answer. Although I'm sure a lot of folks came here already.
Rear/side...
I'd be very suspicious about the quality of PPF installation done by Rivian/factory.
It is one of the few things where quality/reputation of work and skill play a big role. I've experienced good and bad PPF applications. Both can cost the same thing.
And funny thing, I got the dealer to do...
