I just went back in and a 5pm appointment today was available. Booked it and it clearly says R2 - will see if it is real because I had the same experience if it saying no R2s at this location.

The gap is large even if the residual drops down. The current leasing, as expected, is not competitive.

Yes it is expensive, close to $80k when you include lease payments, down payment and the residual. Since the vehicle is $60k that’s quite a lot of interest for three years. I don’t see where the $1495 delivery charge is included since the down payment is first months payment, $4000 cap...

Why are you booking two test drives when others are waiting for their first.

Did you get an email first or just go through the website?

They will not add powered frunk for years (if ever). If it was going to be included on these models then it would be in from the start since they have been working on this for years and it isn’t new or novel technology.

There will be speculation about gen 3 R1 and the software will continue to improve for all models.

Makes sense as there are only 12 variations (six colors and two wheel designs).

Not very visible since the front covers the hood, front fenders and the “grille” area. You would have to really look to see the difference between the front fenders and the front doors. The hood goes up to the windshield so no painted area to compare against.

The Trailseeker is better looking than the Solterra with a larger trunk. Good ground clearance and drive modes and very fast for sub $40k.

Drive by the KoP space and Malvern SC yesterday to see if I could spot any R2s but none visible unless hidden inside the SC as of yesterday. Sales person in the space said in two weeks time which I am sure is wrong. Maybe Monday they will be visible as they prepare for Tuesday.
