For those interested, I was able to use Tasker app for Android to automate this: to turn on my phone's hotspot on/off when phone's connected/disconnected from Rivian Audio. Seems to work reasonably well for Alexa and Spotify so far. I don't use Apple music or any of the other apps, so I didn't...
Thanks! It wasn't quite clear to me from their website though what features would work via tether:

Do you happen to have a Rivian.com link that I might've missed?
In any case, this Reddit post seems to be the best reference on this so far...
Hard to read through the entire thread here ?, but can someone be a dear and summarize what "Connect+ features" currently WILL work and what WONT work from Rivian's side when I tether the vehicle to my phone's hotspot (assuming of course that my phone's data plan isn't blocking anything)?
Took the plunge and tried out costumes after 2024.39.31. All three worked well and were super cool, especially in the dark! K.I.T.T was my favorite. They've really used the Gen2 lightbar to great effect. Fingers crossed that all the kinks have been worked out.
Any guesses as to when it may come back? I tried to demo it to my kids today and got egg on my face, when the costumes didn't show up as promised here:

At least I'm glad I didn't end up in a lights-out situation.
Sucks even more that they took it away even before Halloween. Software QA needs to get a lot tighter at Rivian. Halloween mode turning real scary for some folks could result in ribbing in the media. Only hope the late night hosts don't get wind of this.
Any Gen1 owners without Connect+ still waiting for the update? Our Gen2 (with Connect+) got it 3 days ago, and radio silence so far for our Gen1 (with Connect-).
I'd add canopies with solar panels as roof. I wish this was how every single DCFC location was designed from the get-go. Still not too late though, as it is still early days in the EV age.
Delivery tomorrow, and guide confirmed they won't be giving out NACS adapter at delivery. We'll have to wait in line like everyone else. I'm not sure if that article is accurate, i.e. "included" may not equal "at delivery".
I've done the Broken Arrow trail before in my R1T. The location on the trail where this R1S went off trail like that is very odd, given that portion of the trail is a cakewalk. Given there's a SXS that's rolled over so close to the R1S makes me wonder if this was a collision between those two...
I had actually tried turning off WiFi for a few days to see if it helps with vampire drain, (that's been significantly higher since the last update and I'm seeing 5-6% loss every 24 hours), but it made no difference.
Non-Teslas charging en masse at Superchargers is perhaps the most effective way to normalize the situation and reset expectations for uninformed Tesla owners.
Just do it like a Band-Aid. One motion. Right off! ?
I'm facing this same problem now. Rivian wall charger charges for an hour at 11kw and then drops down to 7kw and stays there. Service center looked at it and did not see the issue on a different 9kw charger. Opened a ticket and they've asked me to follow up with the charging team.
IME having PPF doesn't necessarily make wiping it off easier, but the benefit is rather that you can scrub and apply elbow grease without too much worry.
