Early day 2 Cybertruck reservation holder.
I received my FS Cybertruck invite to configure on March 5th. Similar to roughly 97% of reservation holders I am holding tight.
Tesla is fairly deep into the reservation pool and I think conversion rates are dropping. Also, the FS trucks require a non...
The Rivian chassis engineers made HUGE changes to the 2025 R1S suspension. The rear end “porpoising“ when going over bumps has new been totally eliminated.
The bottom line? The 2022-2024 R1’s are now obsolete from a technical standpoint.
The 2025 R1 computing power, cameras, vampire drain, sensors, etc. are now state of the art.
“A new Rivian Autonomy Platform relies on 11 cameras and five radar sensors. Utilizing predictive artificial...
The electronic upgrades are beyond what I expected on the 2025. The cameras are now crystal clear.
I read somewhere from a Rivian engineer that durability testing the prototypes was 15 hours a day. He said they never missed a beat and were exceptionally reliable through all of the validation...
With over 600 changes I would cancel a 2024 purchase and go for the 2025.
I was a bit surprised that Rivian didn’t simplify their lineup for manufacturing and efficiency reasons. They still have way too many interior trims, wheel choices, etc.
BEV’s still need a battery cell breakthrough in order to go mainstream. Stopping to charge during road trips is too time consuming when traversing across this large country.
I feel we are still 5-10 years away from an honest 450 mile range battery pack that can be recharged in 5-10 minutes.
R1T resale values have dropped significantly lately. I predict we will see 2022’s in the low $50k, high $40’s by Q1 2025.
If your contemplating selling your R1T now is the time.
Did you consider selling on the Cars & Bids auction site? eBay seems to attract all of the scammers and low life’s of society.
Cars & Bids has zero selling fees and they have a great track record with R1T sales. Used 2022‘s with similar mileage are fetching $58k - $60k (4.5% buyers fee).
Love the steelie look!
TSportline makes these forged wheels for the Cybertruck. Thet are very reasonable at $999 for a full set.

Maybe someone could inquire for the R1.
I think the refresh details are being held back due to the inventory of existing new 2023 and 2024 builds.
Once the announcement is made Rivian will have no choice but to discount existing inventory to move product.
Rivian needs a lower price point on their R1T. By eliminating the costly air suspension and other features they can lower the price to around $60k.
With Tesla manufacturing around 1k Cybertruck’s per week they should have well over 30,000 trucks on the road by the end of this year.
This is the most flattering Cybertruck photo that I have viewed. Those are some monster meats on those wheels.
I believe it’s Franz, the designer, behind the wheel.
They are hovering around $60k on the popular auction sites like Bring a Trailer and Cars & Bids.
I predict used R1T’s will be in the low $50’s by early next year.
Tesla just lowered the Model Y interest rate to 0.99% to help with declining sales and keep the factories humming. Tesla recently added a Quicksliver color option for $2k. It was available in Europe but not in America.
Rivian is cutting more jobs to stay afloat during the BEV sales downturn.
