Agreed. The new employee bunks will really cut down on wasted commuting time and time spent at home so all waking energy can be focused on building the vehicles.
You touch on something that I have thought about in regard to test drives. It won't be as useful an experience to me if they hold it in a downtown setting vs. having it where you can put it through its paces in an "adventure" setting which is the route I am hoping they go.
We have underground power to the house, but the majority of the lines between us and the power source are above ground. We typically have 1 to 3 outages a year which typically are repaired <= 4 hours, though we did have a multi-day outage this year and was able to get by fine with wood heating...
It looks like the guy who posted the Q&A with a "soon to be guide" got a similar package from Rivian. Maybe it will be a standard "gift" when converting to an order?
via Facebook:
"A month back or so, had a great 2+ hour conversation with a soon to be guide (who was awesome). She was the best...
That can't be true. We have seen that Rivian has been significantly more interested in talking to and providing demonstrations for politicians than their customers.
Based on a conversation I had with customer service*, this should be clarified to state that DCFC will be exclusive to Rivian owners as opposed to vehicles. If you are a Rivian owner and also own EVs compatible with their fast chargers then you will be able to charge those EVs on it as well. The...
I know this isn't a customer focused event, but did register to see what they share: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_NhjBnqQ0Rmukf6mbcBs7Ug
I see references on Rivian's site to "transparency" and "customer engagement" and unfortunately I haven't seen much of that aside from the reservation holder events that they held which provided access to employees who were knowledgeable and seemed fairly open in their responses to customer...
I'm not sure about the hardware side of things, but as I posted a while back it looks like Rivian is using Mapbox which is including integrated music as part of their Dash product and they note support for Sirius among other audio platforms...
Our numbers are pretty close (mine is 1307). Seeing you are located in Atlanta, I read a comment on YouTube from somebody who said they were interviewing for a field specialist role in Atlanta who indicated that they expect initial deliveries in Georgia to start in July.
I expect it to be useful at the many dead ends I hit on logging roads to at least potentially save me from Austin Powers scenarios:
I cleared some space on my property a couple weeks ago to have a spot to do some controlled tests. I am wondering things like how tight a circle it can stay in...
@Jsidell shared an instagram post that indicated they turned east at I90 and didn't continue south towards us Oregon folks : https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/rivian-r1t-spotted-with-extended-yellow-tow-hooks-and-winch.1438/post-32086
I found another nugget -- merchandise store:
"Explore the Rivian Shop."
"Made from premium quality and durable materials, choose from apparel and gear designed to keep you adventurous on everyday expeditions and long weekends."
URL (not live yet): https://shop.rivian.com
If they are having trouble deciding, putting it to a vote among LE reservation holders seems a reasonable idea to me. I mean they are the only customers impacted by the decision...
I don't think we are too far out from accessories being added. In addition to the pictures I ran across, I also see a definition for an un-displayed tab in the configurator labelled "Adventure Gear" with a description of "Explore our full range of accessories for any adventure." There are also...
