Black paint is a double edged sword. It looks awesome for about 20 minutes after it’s washed but it shows EVERYTHING after that point. It’s a high maintenance paint color.

I agree. The OEM 20” dark wheels have a very unique black chrome finish that can’t be duplicated by temporary vinyl stickers.

It’s a business decision. Living 200-300 miles from a service center has the potential to lead to poor customer satisfaction.

Rivian needs to pump out a consumer version of their BEV short wheelbase van.

I can’t wait to hear what the new design and engineering solution will be in 2023. Rivian most likely knew they had an issue with the tonneau cover but decided to get the truck in the publics hand ASAP and deal with a solution later instead of delaying the truck.
